Teh White House has accused a Biden staffer of impersonating then-chief of Staff Jeff Zients in an examination concerning the unauthorized use of an autopen to sign pardons for several members of the former president’s family. According to a White House memorandum obtained by the Washington Examiner, adviser Rosa po sent an email suggesting she would respond on Zients’ behalf to approve the autopen use for these pardons. Shortly after, Deputy Chief of Policy Bruce reed approved the use by signing “JZ,” followed by Zients conveying approval. The White House noted it is possible Po impersonated Zients or Reed without notifying the Staff Secretary. The pardons were controversial, especially as Hunter Biden had faced legal charges, and raised questions<\/a> about Biden’s reliance on aides and the use of autopen during his term, amid concerns about his mental fitness. The Washington Examiner contacted Po for comment.
