Former New York City mayor Rudy Giuliani was recently discharged from teh hospital following a car accident in which his vehicle was struck from behind at full speed<\/a>. The accident occurred after Giuliani had stopped to assist a woman in urgent need. Giuliani’s business associate, Ted Goodman, confirmed that Giuliani is recovering well and expressed gratitude to the medical personnel and first responders who cared for him. Giuliani also shared a message of thanks on his social media account<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Michael Ragusa, Giuliani’s spokesperson, emphasized that Giuliani stayed at the scene until authorities arrived. Additionally, President Donald trump announced that he will award Giuliani the Presidential Medal of Freedom, praising him as “the greatest Mayor in the history of New York City.” Giuliani, who served as New York’s 107th mayor from 1994 to 2001, gained national recognition for his leadership during and after the September 11 terrorist attacks. The Presidential Medal of Freedom he will receive is one of the highest civilian honors in the United States.
