Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett will address her vote to overturn Roe v. Wade in her forthcoming memoir, *Listening to the Law*, scheduled for release on September 9. Barrett, who received a $2 million advance for the book, reflects on the 1973 decision that established a constitutional right to abortion, stating it “came at a cost” and did not represent the will of the American people. She was one of six justices to uphold a Mississippi law banning most abortions after 15 weeks and among the five who concurred in overturning Roe v.Wade in the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization case. Barrett, a devout Catholic, faced rigorous questioning<\/a> about her faith and abortion views during her 2020 confirmation.
