Others disagree!&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>That&rsquo;s an understatement.<\/p>\n<p>The COVID vaccination has been controversial from its beginning.<\/p>\n<p>The vaccination mandates of the COVID era &mdash; such as those imposed under the Biden administration <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/gop-governors-senators-call-congress-end-bidens-covid-vaccine-mandate-military\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">on the military<\/a>, various jurisdictions <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/judge-hands-police-union-major-win-fight-vaccine-mandate\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">requiring them<\/a> for police and other emergency workers &mdash; sparked some of the biggest political fights of the pandemic era (along with battles over <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/federal-court-rules-dem-governor-shut-churches-covid-pandemic-must-pay\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">freedom of religion<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/inspiration-longtime-espn-host-quits-network-exercise-first-amendment-rights-freely\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">freedom of speech<\/a>, among others).<\/p>\n<p>As stories abounded about <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >previously healthy young people falling victim<\/a> to health problems, suspicions grew on a national level that the vaccinations could lead to bigger problems than COVID &mdash; that the cure was literally worse than the disease.<\/p>\n<p>The fact that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/cdc-used-backchannel-twitter-control-covid-19-narrative\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/ga-poll-watcher-it-expert-non-trump-supporter-affidavit-sudden-surge-of-20000-mail-in-votes-for-biden-in-early-hours-on-nov\/\" title=\"GA Poll Watcher, IT Expert, Non-Trump Supporter Affidavit: Sudden Surge of 20,000 Mail-In-Votes For Biden In Early Hours On Nov\">social media companies<\/a><\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/disneys-news-outlet-admits-edited-rfk-interview-said-vaccine\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">legacy media<\/a> worked to squelch debate about the vaccinations made it worse.<\/p>\n<p>And top celebrities on the left telling outright lies about the vaccine &mdash; such as MSNBC&rsquo;s Rachel Maddow <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=teb8Trr7JWs\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">claiming in March 2021<\/a> that &ldquo;the virus stops with every vaccinated person&rdquo; &mdash; only <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-celebrity-tries-rewrite-history-covid-vaccine-efficiency-rfk-jr-brings-receipts\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">embedded suspicion further<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Now, in Trump&rsquo;s second term, disagreement over the vaccine is roiling federal health agencies under Health and Human Service Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a noted vaccine skeptic who has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/covid-vaccine-removed-cdc-immunization-schedule-kids-no-evidence\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">changed the standards<\/a> for who should be recommended for COVID vaccination.<\/p>\n<p>On Wednesday, the Trump administration fired Centers for Disease Control Director Susan Monarez, as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2025\/08\/27\/cdc-director-susan-monarez-.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CNBC reported<\/a>, amid disputes over the COVID vaccine. That was followed by the resignation of four top CDC officials, <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/policy\/healthcare\/5474217-three-cdc-leaders-resign-over-weaponizing-of-public-health\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Hill<\/a>&nbsp;reported.<\/p>\n<p>Trump alluded to the friction in his post.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;With CDC being ripped apart over this question, I want the answer, and I want it NOW,&rdquo; he wrote.<\/p>\n<p>Trump wrote that he had received assurances from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/buttigiegs-former-firm-shells-out-573-million-to-evade-lawsuits-over-role-in-opioid-crisis\/\" title=\"Buttigieg\u2019s Former Firm Shells Out 3 Million to Evade Lawsuits Over Role in Opioid Crisis\">major drug manufacturers<\/a> about the effectiveness of vaccination, but that the data has been sufficiently d with the American people.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I have been shown information from Pfizer, and others, that is extraordinary, but they never seem to show those results to the public. Why not???&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Sen. Bill Cassidy, the Louisiana Republican who chairs the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor and Pensions, was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/rfk-jr-gets-great-confirmation-news-hearing-draws-close\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">key to Kennedy&rsquo;s confirmation<\/a> as head of the Department of Health and Human Services. A physician as well as a politician, he was hesitant about Kennedy because of the nominee&rsquo;s vaccine skepticism, but said he would foster an &ldquo;unprecedentedly close relationship&rdquo; with Kennedy once he was confirmed, according to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2025\/02\/04\/bill-cassidy-rfk-jr-vaccine-00202402\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Politico<\/a> report from February.<\/p>\n<p>In a post on the social media platform X on Monday, he applauded Trump&rsquo;s &ldquo;call for radical transparency.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">I completely agree with President Trump&rsquo;s call for radical transparency.
