A flotilla carrying Swedish climate activist Greta Thunberg and other volunteers, including actor Liam Cunningham, set out from Barcelona as part of the Global Sumud Flotilla mission to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza. However, the voyage was soon aborted due to unsafe weather conditions with strong Mediterranean winds exceeding 30 knots. The organizers decided to prioritize the safety of all participants and avoid complications with the small ships. No new date for departure has been announced. This mission follows an earlier unsuccessful attempt by Thunberg to reach Gaza, which ended with her deportation from israel. Thunberg is widely known for her progressive activism, especially on climate change issues<\/a>.
