The Seattle Police Department is preparing for a possibly contentious event at Gas Works Park, where Christian artist Sean Feucht will perform as part of his “Revive in ’25” tour. Feucht, known for his opposition too transgender and LGBTQ+ agendas, has previously faced protests at his events. Originally planned for cal Anderson Park, a center of Seattle’s LGBTQ+ community, the concert was moved to Gas Works Park to address public safety concerns<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The event follows recent clashes between police and counterprotesters during a similar concert at Cal Anderson Park, which resulted in multiple arrests. Critics,including Capitol Hill Pride Festival founder Charlette LeFevre,condemned the city’s decision to permit Feucht’s concert,labeling his anti-trans messaging as hate speech. Feucht and other faith leaders counter that their message is one of love and religious freedom, aiming to spark a national conversation on tolerance.<\/p>\n

Seattle Mayor Bruce Harrell’s office emphasized the city’s constitutional obligation to uphold free speech regardless of content, while also supporting the local LGBTQ+ community. The Seattle police Department plans to deploy its Police Outreach Engagement Team (POET) to facilitate dialog between groups and ensure safety during the event.
