Devon Hogan Flanagan, a special assistant attorney general<\/a> in Rhode island, was placed on six months of unpaid leave following a viral video showing her berating police officers<\/a>. The incident occurred at clarke Cooke House in Newport, where Flanagan and a friend were asked to leave. In the video,she repeatedly shouted phrases like “I’m an AG” and “You’re going to regret this,” resisted police instructions<\/a>,and demanded an officer turn off his body camera. Flanagan was charged with trespassing, disorderly conduct, and resisting arrest. Rhode Island Attorney General Peter Neronha reviewed the case and stated that Flanagan’s behavior embarrassed the police department and the Attorney General’s office. He hopes she uses this time to reflect and improve her conduct.
