This initiative is supported by findings from a Pew Research Center report linking increased housing supply in low-income areas with decreased rent prices. State lawmakers, primarily Democrats, are prioritizing housing affordability through legislative efforts such as building starter homes, modernizing building codes, and promoting modular housing. The governor has also updated an executive order to prioritize grant funding to communities actively working to increase affordable housing. Colorado aims to remove governmental barriers and promote strategic growth to make housing more accessible and affordable across the state.

Colorado commited to increasing housing supply

(The Center Square) – Colorado remains committed to building more homes to address the ongoing housing crisis.

Gov.
