I saw the lady on the ground with her head busted up,&rdquo; he <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/its-past-time-to-stop-thistreatment-of-police-officers-chicagos-top-cop-speaks-out-after-officers-alleged-murderer-arrested\/\" title=\"\u2018It\u2019s Past Time To Stop This\u2026Treatment Of ...s\u2019: Chicago\u2019s Top Cop Speaks Out After Officer\u2019s Alleged Murderer Arrested\">allegedly told investigators<\/a>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">NYC carjacker seriously injured 87-year-old woman in wild morning crime spree: prosecutors <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/jI9leqZsTL\">https:\/\/t.co\/jI9leqZsTL<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/v8U4pcpoBE\">pic.twitter.com\/v8U4pcpoBE<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; New York Post (@nypost) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/nypost\/status\/1959744434746089917?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 24, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Dubuisson was charged with 14 crimes, including assault, robbery, menacing, and grand larceny.<\/p>\n<p>He was also charged with assaulting a police officer, due to injuries suffered by Detective Corey Fisher, a 12-year <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/breaking-reports-active-shooter-nyc-screamed-free-palestine-nypd-officers-hit-developing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NYPD<\/a> veteran, in the incident.<\/p>\n<p>Fisher was shot twice in a friendly-fire exchange as police cornered the suspect.&nbsp;He also suffered a broken leg.<\/p>\n<p>Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz said of the crime spree, &ldquo;Make no mistake, this defendant&rsquo;s alleged actions set into motion the events that led to Detective Corey Fisher&rsquo;s hospitalization.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Among the obvious tragedies from the spree of crime is the fact that all of it could have been prevented.<\/p>\n<p>According to the Post, Dubuisson had been arrested just one day earlier for allegedly stealing two cars and crashing one into a construction site.<\/p>\n<p>That arrest was one of 10 prior arrests that should have had Dubuisson already locked up, especially considering he was out on parole for a 2023 robbery.<\/p>\n<p>Police believed he was responsible for last Thursday&rsquo;s crime spree, but let him go. Instead of being held in a jail cell, he was given a ticket to appear.<\/p>\n<p>Hours later, a cop was shot, and a woman in her eighties was hit by a stolen car.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/nyc-mayor-eric-adams-former-chief-staff-charged-amid-corruption-investigation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York&rsquo;s<\/a> soft-on-crime policies left him free to terrorize a neighborhood the very next morning.<\/p>\n<p>Now an innocent woman is in the hospital, and a police officer is recovering from surgery.<\/p>\n<p>City and state leaders should be answering for why Dubuisson was even on the street.<\/p>\n<p>If <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >local officials won&#038;rsquo<\/a>;t protect New Yorkers, the state must. If the state refuses, the federal government must step in.<\/p>\n<p>Democratic New York Gov. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ny-gov-kathy-hochul-quickly-tries-politicize-manhattan-shooting-sickening-comments\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kathy Hochul<\/a> has shown little interest in reforming her state&rsquo;s failed bail and other <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/heather-mac-donald-savage-crimes-no-longer-have-consequences-civilization-breaking-down-in-slow-motion\/\" title=\"Heather Mac Donald: \u2018Savage\u2019 Crimes No Longer Have Consequences \u2014 Civilization \u2018Breaking Down\u2019 in \u2018Slow-Motion\u2019\">criminal justice reform policies<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>That leaves the burden to the federal government if voters continue to refuse to elect people who are going to protect them. Based on their decision to nominate an anti-police socialist in Zohran Mamdani for mayor, it appears as thought New York City can expect more of the same mayhem and violence.<\/p>\n<p>It might be time to send in the National Guard.<\/p>\n<p>This crime spree was senseless and unnecessary.
