attorney Simon Sandoval-Moshenberg told NBC News. &ldquo;The only reason they took him into detention was to punish him.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Punish him for what? This is not justice; it is retaliation,&rdquo; he added.<\/p>\n<p>All this comes after Garcia was offered a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/derek-chauvin-closing-in-on-plea-deal-with-fed-prosecutors-could-include-public-explanation-of-george-floyd-arrest\/\" title=\"Derek Chauvin \u2018Closing In On ...\u2019 With Fed Prosecutors, Could Include Public Explanation Of George Floyd Arrest\">federal plea deal<\/a> last week.
