U.S. District Judge Paula Xinis ruled that abrego Garcia should be placed under ICE supervision in maryland, where his family lives, to ensure proper relief after his wrongful removal. A court order from 2019 prevents his deportation to El salvador due to fears of persecution. Democrat lawmakers, initially advocating for his return, have softened thier stance after revelations that Abrego Garcia is linked to MS-13, human trafficking, and domestic abuse. His trial for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/syrian-men-among-human-smugglers-apprehended-through-operation-lone-star\/\" title=\"Syrian men caught as human smugglers in Operation Lone Star\">federal human smuggling charges<\/a> is scheduled for january. A 2019 court order had barred Abrego Garcia&rsquo;s deportation to El Salvador, due to &ldquo;fear of persecution,&rdquo; ABC News noted.<\/p>\n<p>Xinis wrote in her July order that it is &ldquo;narrowly tailored&rdquo; to allow the Trump administration to initiate &ldquo;lawful immigration proceedings upon Abrego Garcia&rsquo;s return to Maryland.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Fox News correspondent Bill Melugin noted in a social media post at the time, &ldquo;The government had indicated it would take him into ICE custody in Tennessee if he was released pending his federal case.
