The findings revealed that women who underwent induced abortion were more than twice as likely to be hospitalized for mental health issues-including psychiatric disorders, substance abuse, and suicide attempts-compared to women who gave birth. The risk was especially elevated for women who had repeat abortions and was highest within the first five years post-abortion.<\/p>\n<p>This research aligns with previous studies showing that abortion can significantly impact women&#8217;s mental health, increasing the need for psychiatric treatment. A person-year (think man-hour) represents the number of people studied over the course of a year. As a whole, the study followed more than 1.2 million pregnancies for up to 17 years after either an abortion or birth.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2 d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-1330205989\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1463670073398-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The data indicated that women who chose a repeat abortion were more likely to encounter a mental health problem requiring hospitalization than those who had their first abortion. A woman&rsquo;s risk of hospitalization was highest in the first five years after her abortion, and, unsurprisingly, was higher if she had already had mental health problems, which the study took into account.<\/p>\n<p>This is not the first study to confirm that abortion compromises women&rsquo;s mental health. For instance, a 2023 <a href=\"https:\/\/pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/articles\/PMC10278648\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">study<\/a> using Medicaid data showed that women who have a first-pregnancy abortion face a significantly higher risk of <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >needing mental health treatment<\/a>, particularly inpatient treatment, after the abortion than women who give birth.<\/p>\n<p>The harm that abortion causes women isn&rsquo;t limited to mental health.&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/eppc.org\/publication\/insurance-data-reveals-one-in-ten-patients-experiences-a-serious-adverse-event\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">More than 10 percent<\/a>&nbsp;of women encounter a serious, adverse medical event such as sepsis or hemorrhaging after taking the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/nazis-and-eugenics-brought-us-chemical-abortion-heres-proof\/\" title=\"Nazis And Eugenics Brought Us Chemical ...: Here\u2019s Proof\">chemical abortion drug mifepristone<\/a>. The U.S. Food and Drug Administration and one of the drug&rsquo;s manufacturers, Danco Laboratories, have <a href=\"https:\/\/eppc.org\/publication\/insurance-data-reveals-one-in-ten-patients-experiences-a-serious-adverse-event\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">grossly underrepresented<\/a> the risks of mifepristone. In another example of the dangers of abortion, a pro-life organization in Indiana filed complaints of legal violations in <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/05\/06\/prolifers-sue-indiana-for-records-that-reveal-abortionist-atrocities\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">700<\/a> abortion cases over a two-year period, some involving the death of the mother.<\/p>\n<p>Groups like <a href=\"https:\/\/surrenderingthesecret.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Surrendering the Secret<\/a> or the Silent No More Awareness Campaign are <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2019\/01\/28\/abortion-doesnt-just-kill-child-psychologically-kills-mother\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">honest<\/a> about the mental and spiritual agony that abortion causes women (and the men around them) who choose to end their baby&rsquo;s life. They share the testimonies of women who regret their choice and recognize the cognitive dissonance of pro-abortion advocates who argue that a woman can have an abortion and simply move on without a major change to her life.<\/p>\n<p>There is nothing casual about death of any kind.
