during a recent surgery.<\/p>\n<p>The phrenic nerve controls the diaphragm, which allows the lungs to expand and contract for breathing.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The phrenic nerve controls your diaphragm and is essential to your ability to breathe,&rdquo; the Cleveland Clinic <a href=\"https:\/\/my.clevelandclinic.org\/health\/body\/22270-phrenic-nerve\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">explained<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>TMZ said, Hogan did not experience chest pain before his death, but instead simply stopped breathing.<\/p>\n<p>It was Hogan&rsquo;s wife, Sky Daily, who noticed his breathing had stopped and called 9-1-1.<\/p>\n<p>Sources told TMZ, the therapist&rsquo;s statements to officers were recorded on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/house-democrats-barely-pass-bill-bolstering-capitol-security-after-progressive-defections\/\" title=\"House Democrats Barely Pass Bill Bolstering Capitol Security After Progressive Defections\">police body cameras<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Clearwater police told TMZ, their investigation has thus far included interviews with multiple witnesses and a review of medical records.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We have been in communication with family members &mdash; including his son, Nick, and daughter, Brooke,&rdquo; police said.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The Hogan family has been appreciative of our efforts and our communication with them.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Sky Daily told TMZ <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/read-hulk-hogans-heartwarming-post-accepting-jesus-surrender-power-savior\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">her husband&rsquo;s<\/a> phrenic nerve was &ldquo;compromised&rdquo;
