Babies conceived via in vitro fertilization (IVF) who receive the same or similar verdict while they are still a frozen embryo, however, can be wiped out without second thought and without the threat of punishment under the law.<\/p>\n<p>Bad actors have used these unregulated assisted reproductive technology (ART) loopholes to their advantage. Noor Siddiqui, the founder and CEO of the IVF eugenics company Orchid, is just one of many ART players who advertise anyone&rsquo;s ability to toss unwanted embryos as a good thing.<\/p>\n<p>In an X post this month, Siddiqui claimed embryo filtering technology like hers helps parents <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/noor_siddiqui_\/status\/1956193335460421727\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&ldquo;prevent deadly, (now) preventable diseases.&rdquo;<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;What if your baby never walks? What if they are never able to live independently? What if you could have stopped it&hellip; but chose not to? That&rsquo;s the question @OrchidInc&rsquo;s embryo screening forces,&rdquo; she wrote. &ldquo;You optimize everything&hellip; career, diet, skincare&hellip; but you&rsquo;re going to chance it on your child&rsquo;s genome, one of the most significant determinants of their health?&rdquo;<\/p>\n<figure>\n<p><span><\/p>\n<blockquote data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<div lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">\n<p>What if your baby never walks? What if they are never able to live independently?<\/p>\n<p>What if you could have stopped it&hellip;<br \/>but chose not to?<\/p>\n<p>That&rsquo;s the question <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/OrchidInc?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">@OrchidInc<\/a>&rsquo;s embryo screening forces.<\/p>\n<p>You optimize everything&hellip; career, diet, skincare&hellip; but you&rsquo;re going to chance it on&hellip; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/6hYSsv13T8\">pic.twitter.com\/6hYSsv13T8<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<p>&mdash; Noor Siddiqui (@noor_siddiqui_) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/noor_siddiqui_\/status\/1956193329928134696?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 15, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><\/span> <\/p>\n<\/figure>\n<p>Yet nothing about Orchid&rsquo;s genome screening process is healing for the embryos that, for $2,500 a pop, undergo it.<\/p>\n<p>According to Siddiqui, <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/noor_siddiqui_\/status\/1956465123301994845\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&ldquo;every baby deserves a fair shot at health&rdquo;<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/noor_siddiqui_\/status\/1956204127916327227\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&ldquo;no children are being killed.&rdquo;<\/a> Her version of that, however, requires culling embryos that are deemed unworthy of implantation after Orchid (or <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/06\/06\/under-the-guise-of-preventative-medicine-for-ivf-eugenics-is-back\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">one of the many other IVF biotech startups<\/a> popping up) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.orchidhealth.com\/science\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sequences<\/a> them&nbsp;for potential diseases, disorders, cancers, defects, and chromosomal abnormalities. In her recent <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/08\/08\/ceo-of-ivf-eugenics-company-orchid-claims-culling-embryos-is-a-positive-moral-choice\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sitdown<\/a> with The New York Times&rsquo; Ross Douthat, Siddiqui even implied that she would have chosen to kill off her mom&rsquo;s embryo due to the debilitating blindness the woman who birthed her developed.<\/p>\n<p>The lab-created lives that don&rsquo;t pass Orchid&rsquo;s muster are guaranteed to become some of the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.catholicnewsagency.com\/news\/257066\/more-human-embryos-destroyed-through-ivf-than-abortion-every-year\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">millions<\/a>&nbsp;of embryos that were created only to be discarded or sentenced to indefinite cryopreservation. That, however, didn&rsquo;t stop Siddiqui from <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/noor_siddiqui_\/status\/1956193335460421727\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">declaring<\/a> that people who don&rsquo;t indulge her twisted logic, which by <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >default involves discarding tiny humans deemed &#038;ldquo<\/a>;less than&rdquo; by her tech, are &ldquo;okay with your kid potentially suffering for life so you can feel morally superior&hellip; or because you can&rsquo;t be inconvenienced for 2 weeks to extract eggs and check for genetic issues before they develop.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>You read that right. Siddiqui wants people to keep their babies from dying by killing them off before they ever have a chance to snuggle into the womb or take a breath. <\/p>\n<p>In a moral, just, and ethical world, practices that indulge that thinking would be shamed and even criminalized. Instead, it is elevated, celebrated, and monetized.<\/p>\n<p>For far too long, the people and politicians who claim to care about women and babies have been <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/09\/17\/republicans-stop-letting-democrats-corner-you-on-ivf\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">asleep at the wheel.<\/a> As a result, IVF and other reproductive technologies that <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/06\/08\/popular-genetic-testing-pits-unborn-siblings-against-each-other-and-the-highest-scorer-gets-to-live\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">pit frozen siblings against each other<\/a> and rip babies from their mothers&rsquo; wombs have exploded from mere experiments into an increasingly popular reality. <\/p>\n<p>Societal justification of abortion based on an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/abortion-and-pro-life-constitutional-amendments-duel-in-nebraska\/\" title=\"Abortion And Pro-... Constitutional Amendments Duel In Nebraska\">unborn baby&#038;rsquo<\/a>;s sex, race, a down syndrome diagnosis, or assumed &ldquo;quality of life,&rdquo; while not uncommon, is unsurprising given the barbaric practice&rsquo;s Planned Parenthood roots. It&rsquo;s thanks to eugenicists like Margaret Sanger, whose decision to found and operate the abortion giant was rooted in her apparent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.lifenews.com\/2013\/12\/16\/margaret-sanger-we-want-to-exterminate-the-negro-population-her-wish-is-coming-true\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">desire<\/a> to &ldquo;exterminate the Negro population,&rdquo; that women can end their child&rsquo;s life &mdash; many times with a mail-order pill.<\/p>\n<p>Similarly, justification of the mass manufacture and then discard of embryos based on a little life&rsquo;s physical attributes, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/AlexTISYoung\/status\/1950575617294180510\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">predicted IQ<\/a>, or potential for emotional, mental, and physical suffering is promoted by techies like Siddiqui who pretend that life is only worth living if one is perfectly healthy from the get-go.<\/p>\n<p>This outsourced and jaded approach to reproduction, which is a sacred and necessary act for <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/05\/09\/babies-by-any-means-necessary-wont-fix-the-wests-fertility-woes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">societal flourishing<\/a>, is far from ethical. Yet it won&rsquo;t stop here. Already, reproductive technology innovators like Siddiqui are looking forward to an ART-fueled future laden with <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/noor_siddiqui_\/status\/1956211898954997941\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">artificial wombs<\/a> and other <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/05\/17\/worried-about-an-ai-dystopia-the-global-fertility-industry-has-it-beat-by-decades\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">dystopian horrors<\/a> that not only include eugenics-y technology like Orchid but are predicated on it.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p>      Jordan Boyd is a staff writer at The Federalist and producer of The Federalist Radio Hour.
