Kennedy Jr. and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) by recommending Covid shots for infants and young children. The advisement was included in the AAP&rsquo;s newly released <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aap.org\/en\/news-room\/news-releases\/aap\/2025\/the-american-academy-of-pediatrics-releases-its-own-evidence-based-immunization-schedule\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">immunization schedule<\/a> for all children under the age of 18.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2 d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-834839958\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1463670073398-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>&ldquo;Infants and children 6 through 23 months of age are at the highest risk for severe COVID-19,&rdquo; the APP claimed in its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aap.org\/en\/news-room\/news-releases\/aap\/2025\/the-american-academy-of-pediatrics-releases-its-own-evidence-based-immunization-schedule\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">press release<\/a>.&nbsp;&ldquo;Given this, the AAP recommends a COVID-19 vaccine for all children ages 6 through 23 months old to help protect against serious illness. Children younger than 2 years old are especially vulnerable to severe COVID-19 and should be prioritized for vaccination unless they have a known allergy to the vaccine or its ingredients.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>On May 27, Kennedy, standing alongside National Institutes of Health Director Jay Bhattacharya and Food and Drug Administration Commissioner Marty Makary, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/SecKennedy\/status\/1927368440811008138\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">announced<\/a> that the Covid shot for healthy children and pregnant women had been removed from the CDC&rsquo;s recommended immunization schedule due to a lack of clinical data to justify continued recommendation.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Last year, the&nbsp;Biden&nbsp;administration urged healthy children to get yet another COVID shot, despite the lack of any clinical data to support the repeat booster strategy in children,&rdquo; Kennedy said, with Bhattacharya and Makary echoing similar sentiments. <\/p>\n<p><strong>[READ:[READ:<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/01\/09\/8-bombshell-findings-in-floridas-grand-jury-report-on-big-pharmas-covid-shots\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">8 Bombshell Findings In Florida&rsquo;s Grand Jury Report On Big Pharma&rsquo;s Covid Shots<\/a>]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In its Tuesday press release, the AAP took an indirect jab at Kennedy and his decision to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/rfk-jr-picks-8-vaccine-panel-after-firing-all-17-members\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">fire and replace<\/a> members of the CDC&rsquo;s Committee on Immunization Practices. Noting the differences between it and the ACIP&rsquo;s recommendations, the pediatrics group claimed Kennedy&rsquo;s new hires &ldquo;have a history of spreading vaccine misinformation.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>As it turns out, the only one still spreading medical &ldquo;misinformation&rdquo; is the American Academy of Pediatrics.<\/p>\n<p>As The Federalist previously <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/06\/28\/why-arent-more-republicans-highlighting-the-risks-of-giving-infants-covid-shots\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported<\/a>, it has long been established that healthy children are the least at-risk demographic when it comes to Covid mortality. The pediatrics giant also has a reported history of prioritizing leftist politics over facts-based medicine on a host of other fronts.<\/p>\n<p>In summer 2022, the AAP <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/07\/21\/american-academy-of-pediatrics-promotes-murder-of-future-patients\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">published<\/a> an article calling to advance so-called &ldquo;reproductive justice&rdquo; in pediatric training. As Olivia Hajicek previously summarized in these pages, the piece also pushed for &ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/american-academy-of-pediatrics-promotes-murder-of-future-patients\/\" title=\"... Promotes Murder Of Future Patients\">pediatricians helping minors<\/a> get abortions without their parents&rsquo; knowledge.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The AAP has furthermore espoused support for &ldquo;puberty blockers, cross-sex hormones, and surgical interventions for minors with gender dysphoria,&rdquo; The Federalist&rsquo;s Joy Pullmann previously <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/09\/24\/20-attorneys-general-to-investigate-pediatrician-group-for-false-claims-about-transing-children\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported<\/a>.
