Owens, host of The Daily Wire talk show \u2018Candace,\u2019 shot back that she would \u2018100%\u2019 be suing the rapper for the false statements,\u201d the Daily Wire reported.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>This is far from the only time Cardi B has made headlines and raised eyebrows. Here\u2019s a look back at other moments in her controversial career.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><b>Cardi B\u2019s feud with Nicki Minaj turns physical<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span>The \u201clongtime feud\u201d between Cardi B and fellow rapper Nicki Minaj \u201chit a new peak\u201d in September 2018 after their public disagreement \u201cturned physical,\u201d according to <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/people.com\/music\/cardi-b-fight-nicki-minaj-new-york-fashion-week-party\/\"><span>People Magazine<\/span><\/a><span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"21\">\n<p><em><span>\u201c<\/span><span>On Friday night, the rappers got into a fight at the <\/span><span>Harper\u2019s Bazaar<\/span><span> ICONS party that left Cardi bruised, a source confirms to PEOPLE. The bash was part of the festivities for New York Fashion Week.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span>An insider tells PEOPLE that Cardi arrived at the event first. After Minaj showed up, there was an \u2018altercation\u2019 on the second-floor balcony during a Christina Aguilera performance.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span>\u2018The scene was f\u2014\u2014 crazy,\u2019 the insider tells PEOPLE. \u2018It was entourage against entourage.\u2019<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><span>\u2018They had their altercation on the second-floor balcony, right above the red carpet. All of the sudden there was a big commotion and everyone didn\u2019t know what was going on.\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span>According to the article, Cardi B was immediately \u201c<\/span><span>escorted out by security while Minaj stayed inside,\u201d with Cardi B \u201cseen leaving the party with a large lump on her forehead but no shoes.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote readability=\"13\">\n<p><i><span>\u201cVideos of the incident were posted on social media. In one video, Cardi B can be seen making a lunge towards someone, though it is not entirely clear if it\u2019s the \u2018Barbie Dreams\u2019 rapper.<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<p><i><span>In another video obtained by Cosmopolitan, Cardi can be seen removing her shoe as she repeatedly screams, \u2018I will f\u2014 you up!\u2019\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><span>In an Instagram post, Cardi B wrote, <\/span><span>\u201cI\u2019ve let a lot of s\u2014 slide! I let you sneak diss me, I let you lie on me, I let you attempt to stop my bags, f\u2014 up the way I eat! You\u2019ve threaten other artists in the industry, told them if they work with me you\u2019ll stop f\u2014\u2014 with them!! I let you talk big s\u2014 about me!!\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201c<\/span><span>I addressed you once in person, I addressed you a second time in person, and every time you copped the plea!! But when you mention my child, you choose to like comments about me as a mother, make comments about my abilities to take care of my daughter is when all bets are f\u2014\u2014 off!! I\u2019ve worked to[sic] hard and come too far to let anybody f\u2014 with my success!!!! Bitches talk all that s\u2014 in they raps but in real life they pussy!! This s\u2014 really is for entertainment!!\u201d she added.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Admitted that she drugged and robbed men<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span>In March 2019, Cardi B made headlines again after a three-year-old video of the rapper resurfaced online.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>During the Instagram Live video, Cardi B <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dailywire.com\/news\/rapper-cardi-b-admits-drugging-and-robbing-men-she-amanda-prestigiacomo\">admitted<\/a> \u201c<\/span><span>that she used to drug and rob men whom she would lure to a hotel room with the promise of sex,\u201d claiming that it \u201cwas a necessary practice to survive when she worked as a stripper.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cI had to go strip, I had to go, \u2018Oh yeah, you want to f*** me? Yeah, yeah, yeah, let\u2019s go back to this hotel,\u2019 and I drugged n****s up, and I robbed them. A live where I talked about things I had to do in my past, right or wrong, that I felt I needed to do to make a living. I never claim to be perfect or come from a perfect world with a perfect past. I always speak my truth. I always own my shit. I\u2019m a part of a hip-hop culture where you can talk about where you come from, talk about the wrong things you had to do to get where you are. There are rappers that glorify murder, violence, drugs, and robbing. Crimes they feel they had to do to survive. I never glorified the things I brought up in that live I never even put those things in my music because I\u2019m not proud of it and feel a responsibility not to glorify it. I made the choices that I did at the same time because I had very limited options. I was blessed to have been able to rise from that but so many women have not. Whether or not they were poor choices at the time, I did what I had to do to survive. The men I spoke about in my live were men that I dated, that I was involved with men that were conscious, willing, and aware. I have a past that I can\u2019t change. We all do.\u201d<\/span><\/i><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><b>Assault charges<\/b><\/p>\n<p><span>In June 2019, Cardi B was formally charged with assault after a fight at a New York City strip club.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cThe former stripper, whose real name is Belcalis Almanzar, had previously faced misdemeanor charges over the incident at Angels NYC in Queens in August. <\/span><span>She was arrested in October for allegedly ordering an attack on two bartenders named as Jade and Baddie G,\u201d reported <\/span><a href=\"https:\/\/www.bbc.com\/news\/entertainment-arts-48723275\"><span>BBC News<\/span><\/a><span>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>According to TMZ, the \u201c<\/span><span>incident was allegedly triggered after she accused Jade of sleeping with her husband Offset.\u201d The BBC report added that the women claimed \u201cthey were injured during the brawl when Cardi\u2019s people began throwing bottles and chairs.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span>\u201cOn Friday, a jury indicted the 26-year-old star on 14 charges, including two counts of assault with intent to cause serious physical injury. <\/span><span>In April, Cardi B rejected a plea deal from the Queens district attorney\u2019s office which would have seen her given a conditional discharge, escaping a prison sentence unless she committed a further offense,\u201d the report added.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><i>Ian Haworth is an Editor and Writer for The Daily Wire.
