They also informed the Wildlife and Game Commission. Florida alligator wrangler Kyle Asplundh, who was nearby, returned at night to capture the alligator safely. The reptile was handed over to park rangers and later transported by Asplundh to Florida. That&rsquo;s definitely a gator. And I&rsquo;d come down and try for myself,&rdquo; Asplundh told WPVI-TV. &ldquo;At night their eyeshine is very apparent when you shine a spotlight on them.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<div class=\"firefly-embed\"> <iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/1f7lW5vMCuw?si=YwJuNakvBI5AqI3J&amp;start=59\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>A native of Pennsylvania, Asplundh was visiting from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/florida-deputies-come-across-unthinkable-14-year-olds-homicidal-911-confession\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Florida<\/a>, where he runs Jupiter Alligator and Wildlife Sanctuary.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I was able to get close to it and then I was able to secure it and put it in the car,&rdquo; he said.<\/p>\n<p>Asplundh handed the gator to park rangers, who kept it overnight before returning it to Asplundh, who said he would take it to Florida.<\/p>\n<p>Someone had likely kept the alligator as a pet before releasing it into Magnolia Lake, Asplundh said.<\/p>\n<p>It likely wouldn&rsquo;t have survived the winter, he added.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This animal is definitely not a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/zoo-officials-ask-public-help-feeding-predators-offering-pets\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pet<\/a>.
