His <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/confirmed-president-trump-will-not-welcome-china-joe-to-the-white-house-on-wednesday\/\" title=\"Confirmed: President ... Will NOT Welcome China Joe to the White House on Wednesday\">approval rating stands<\/a> at 50.5%, down from 55.6% five months ago, with 30.1% disapproving.Stein, a first-term Democrat and former attorney general, has issued 15 vetoes and proposed a budget significantly higher than the state legislature&#8217;s, with some vetoes overridden.<\/p>\n<p>In the same poll,President Donald Trump&#8217;s approval in North Carolina is slightly higher than his national average,with 47.8% approval and 50.3% disapproval. Trump has won North Carolina in the last three presidential elections. Voters were divided on Stein&#8217;s vetoes, with 36% viewing them as careful checks on legislative overreach, 32.9% seeing them as <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >politically motivated obstruction<\/a>,and 31% unsure. Eight of his vetoes have been overturned, and Friday marked the 46th day late on the spending plan.<\/p>\n<p>Given choices for what Stein&rsquo;s vetoes reflect, respondents said &ldquo;a careful approach to policy that checks overreach by the legislative branch&rdquo; (36%); &ldquo;a politically motivated obstruction that blocks legislative priorities&rdquo; (32.9%); and 31% were unsure.<\/p>\n<p>The statewide sampling gave the second-term Republican president an approval of 47.8% and disapproval of 50.3%. In March, he was at 49.5% approval and 48.7% disapproval.
