Boelter was previously indicted federally on multiple charges including stalking and murder related to the killing of Minnesota Democratic House Speaker melissa Hortman and her husband, as well as injuries to Democratic state Senator john Hoffman and his wife.Initially charged at the state level with second-degree murder and attempted murder,Boelter now faces first<a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >-degree premeditated murder charges<\/a>,along with additional counts including felony cruelty to an animal and impersonating a police officer using a vehicle resembling a police car.The indictment also includes an attempted murder charge for state Representative Kristen Bahner, who was not home during the attack. Against Head of Gulf Cartel\">faces state charges<\/a>, with prosecutors at the Hennepin County Attorney&rsquo;s Office initially charging him with two counts of intentional second-degree murder, not premeditated, and two counts of attempted murder on June 14.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>On Thursday, a Hennepin County grand jury on Thursday upgraded those charges in an eight-count indictment that slapped Boelter with first-degree premeditated murder charges. The jury also added charges of felony cruelty to an animal and impersonating a police officer with an aggravating factor of driving a vehicle that looked like a police car.<\/p>\n<p>Hennepin County Attorney Mary Moriarty said during a news conference Thursday that the grand jury also indicted Boelter for the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/minnesota\/news\/kristin-bahner-vance-boelter-visited-her-home\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">attempted murder<\/a> of state Rep.
