Despite being offered a coveted lead animator position, he decided to walk away due to his growing Christian faith and his concerns about disney moving away from its <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >customary family values<\/a>. bancroft described this shift as unsettling and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/why-you-should-celebrate-thanksgiving\/\" title=\"Why You Should Celebrate Thanksgiving\">felt called<\/a> to pursue a diffrent path.<\/p>\n<p>He joined Big Idea Entertainment to work on *VeggieTales*, an animated series featuring Bible stories told through anthropomorphic vegetables. Although this was a step down creatively from Disney, bancroft appreciated the shared Christian values and a more supportive environment where he could openly express his faith. After Big Idea eventually went bankrupt, he continued his career by writing, teaching, and contributing to projects for companies like Lego, Warner Bros., dreamworks, and Marvel.<\/p>\n<p>Currently, Bancroft is directing *Light of the world*, an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/china-replaces-humans-with-v-r-puppets-on-reality-tv-show\/\" title=\"China Replaces Humans with V.R. Puppets on Reality TV Show\">animated film<\/a> about the life of Jesus Christ set to premiere in September. he said.<\/p>\n<p>Bancroft moved to Big Idea Entertainment to work on &ldquo;VeggieTales,&rdquo; a series of animated <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/nba-power-forward-refused-kneel-back-2020-made-mission-show-bible-scripture-millions\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bible stories<\/a> narrated and acted out by anthropomorphized tomatoes, cucumbers, and asparagus.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I was about to be a lead animator on &lsquo;Lilo and Stitch.&rsquo; And I gave that up to go work with vegetables,&rdquo; he laughed.<\/p>\n<div class=\"firefly-embed\"> <iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/ib-krYKATgc?si=oaJlmuafObdyhHbJ\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>In the eyes of the secular world, it was a considerable demotion from his work at the House of Mouse, but there was a silver lining for Bancroft.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Honestly, I just saw &lsquo;VeggieTales&rsquo; as this bright and shining light,&rdquo; he said. &ldquo;Even though it was creatively kind of a step down for me &hellip; you know, going from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/vile-ending-disneys-newest-live-action-adaptation-eschews-family-feminist-nonsense\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Disney<\/a> to, you know, vegetables with no arms and legs, jumping around.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;But &hellip; what the passion behind it was, the heart of every employee there &mdash; I really wanted to be a part of. And it was addicting.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Bancroft found it refreshing to work with other Christians.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The first time I showed up on their door, and we&rsquo;re praying at the beginning of the meetings, you know, and I just left a studio where I couldn&rsquo;t talk about my faith in the hallways.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Unfortunately, Big Idea Entertainment went bankrupt several years after he moved there.<\/p>\n<p>In the years that followed, he started writing and teaching, in addition to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/children-as-young-as-12-are-invited-to-learn-the-art-of-drag-at-seattle-museum\/\" title=\"Children as young as 12 are invited to learn the \u2018art of drag\u2019 at Seattle museum\">creating characters<\/a> for large enterprises like Lego, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/disney-fox-warner-bros-cartel-engaging-borderline-racketeering-streaming-ceo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Warner Bros<\/a>., Dreamworks, and Marvel.<\/p>\n<p>Now, he has once again merged his artistic talents with his faith to direct a new animated film about the life of Jesus Christ.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/lightoftheworld.com\/?playlist=a68fbe3&amp;video=b30761c\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&ldquo;Light of the World&rdquo;<\/a> is set to premiere Sept. 5.<\/p>\n<p>For Bancroft, it&rsquo;s been the challenge of a lifetime.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Every single part of making this movie was hard,&rdquo; he said, &ldquo;even stuff that I had done for 35 years, like having a character emote.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;But now it&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/jesus-advice-living-troubling-times\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Jesus<\/a>. There&rsquo;s nothing in my career that&rsquo;s been this kind of a challenge, &rsquo;cause we knew we had to get it right.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<div class=\"firefly-embed\"> <iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/14xkOWOqd5E?si=F_eoAgPW6c89j3PS\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Designing an animated Jesus was an intimidating task &mdash; especially getting the eyes right.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;One of the first things we learned in our animation classes is that, you know, the eyes are the window to the soul. &hellip;&nbsp; If you can&rsquo;t capture that loving &lsquo;eye look&rsquo; that Jesus needs to have at all times throughout the movie, then we&rsquo;re not doing our job right.
