But as the market has rallied, Kostin, along with many others on Wall Street, has become more positive on equities. Kostin now sees the S&amp;P 500 ending the year at 6,600, or roughly 3% higher than where the index was trading on Tuesday,&rdquo; Yahoo said.<\/p>\n<p>As of Tuesday afternoon, the S&amp;P 500 Index stood at a record high of approximately 6,400, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnbc.com\/2025\/08\/11\/stock-market-today-live-updates-.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CNBC<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In April, Trump placed a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-democratic-congressman-total-meltdown-learning-trumps-tariff-pause-hearing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">90-day pause<\/a> on his reciprocal tariff policy, which his administration used to negotiate trade agreements between various countries, with the understanding that if an agreement could not be reached, the announced Liberation Day tariff rate would be the benchmark.<\/p>\n<p>Trump&rsquo;s team has successfully negotiated agreements with the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/not-trade-deal-biggest-us-history-gut-punch-russia-dont-expect-hear-msm\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">European Union<\/a>, Japan, the United Kingdom, Indonesia, South Korea, Vietnam, and the Philippines, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/trump-trade-deals-tariffis-deadline\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CBS News<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxbusiness.com\/politics\/trump-slams-goldman-sachs-ceo-over-tariff-predictions-focus-being-dj\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fox Business<\/a> reported Tuesday that Goldman Sachs economists, led by Jan Hatzius, released an analysis over the weekend showing foreign exporters have absorbed 14 percent of Trump&rsquo;s tariff costs through June, while consumers have paid 22 percent, and businesses absorbed 64 percent of the cost.<\/p>\n<p>The economists predicted that the  American consumers will pay will eventually be 67 percent.<\/p>\n<p>Stephen Miran, head of Trump&rsquo;s Council of Economic Advisers, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=BVLqqaeEYd4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">told<\/a> Fox News that the consumer price index is running at a 1.9 percent annualized rate.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-conversation=\"none\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">LMAO.
