Various government agencies, including the Pentagon and the Energy Department, have embraced this approach by sharing humorous and culturally relevant content. Examples include the Department of DefenseS playful support of actress Sydney Sweeney following controversy over her American Eagle ad, the Department of Energy praising coal with a trendy meme, and the Department of Homeland Security using popular TV show references for recruitment.

White House communications emphasize that this style aims to engage people in a fun and relatable way, distinguishing it from the more reserved approaches of past administrations. However, these posts have met with mixed reactions, with some critics dismissing them as unserious or ineffective for advancing policy or winning elections.

Political strategists note that while social media virality reflects modern culture and can capture younger audiences’ attention, it cannot replace solid campaigning. The trend highlights how politics increasingly intersects with digital culture, even though its impact on long-term political success remains uncertain.

Trump administration chases social media virality with pop culture memes

The Trump administration is embracing viral pop culture references to advance its political agenda online, a dramatic departure from past White House practices.

The posts, often shared as memes on the <a href="https://www.conservativenewsdaily.net/breaking-news/sickening-video-shows-antifa-allegedly-stab-4-trump-supporters-in-washington-dc/" title="Sickening Video ...s Antifa Allegedly Stab 4 ...
