The company was not made aware that its trucks would be used in today&rsquo;s operation and did not authorize this. Penske will reach out to DHS and reinforce its policy to avoid improper use of its vehicles in the future.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2 d-flex justify-content-center\" style=\"margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; text-align: center; \" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-98695745\">\n<div id=\"div-gpt-ad-1463670073398-0\" class=\"mb-30\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>The Department of Homeland Security conducted a Wednesday raid near a Los Angeles Home Depot termed &ldquo;Operation Trojan Horse,&rdquo; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxla.com\/news\/16-arrested-federal-immigration-raid-macarthur-park-home-depot-report\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">according<\/a> to Fox 11. A DHS representative &ldquo;confirmed 16 undocumented migrants from Guatemala, Mexico, Honduras, and Nicaragua were detained.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Video shows several agents bursting from the rear of a Penske moving truck, then running toward a group of people near a sidewalk food stand. The crowd scattered when they saw the federal agents,&rdquo; the outlet reported. &ldquo;DHS officials told FOX News that the notorious MS-13 gang has a &lsquo;chokehold&rsquo; on the area, which warranted such enforcement operations.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>But Penske didn&rsquo;t seem to make a similar statement, as <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/seanmdav\/status\/1953148226720211068\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">pointed out<\/a> by The Federalist&rsquo;s CEO and co-founder Sean Davis, when authorities found 58 migrants &ldquo;crammed&rdquo; into a Penske truck in an &ldquo;alleged human smuggling&rdquo; incident.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\"> <span class=\"Hlw3j0Turdmo58qsygRihJG6f\"><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Weird that I can&rsquo;t find any tweets from you after this happened. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Tq3ejRzlwV\">pic.twitter.com\/Tq3ejRzlwV<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Sean Davis (@seanmdav) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/seanmdav\/status\/1953148226720211068?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">August 6, 2025<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/span> <\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>The driver, &ldquo;identified as Marquez Oviel, an illegal immigrant from Mexico,&rdquo; was arrested after migrants were caught &ldquo;loading into the back of a worn out rental truck,&rdquo; Fox News <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/us\/border-agents-find-58-migrants-crammed-penske-truck-alleged-human-smuggling\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reported<\/a> in April of 2023, citing the Texas Department of Public Safety. Of the 58 migrants, there were 49 men and 9 women from Mexico, El Salvador, and Guatemala, according to Fox News. <\/p>\n<p>The Federalist was also unable to find a statement from the company explicitly condemning a separate incident reported last September. According to the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.lmtonline.com\/local\/article\/penske-truck-rental-leads-human-smuggling-arrest-19797992.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Laredo Morning Times<\/a>, a Penske rental truck was used in an attempt to transport nine migrants.<\/p>\n<p>Penske press contacts did not respond to an inquiry from The Federalist asking why &mdash; if Penske &ldquo;strictly prohibits the transportation of people in the cargo area of its vehicles under any circumstances&rdquo; &mdash; the company did not release statements condemning the alleged human smuggling incidents. Instead, they chose to virtue signal their leftism and alienate current and potential customers by aligning with the left and their disdain for the desires of Americans who voted for deportations.
