Two 15-year-old suspects from Maryland were arrested, while others involved fled. Coristine defended his car and his girlfriend from the assailants, suffering serious injuries in the process. The event has drawn national attention, with former President Donald Trump and Elon Musk publicly condemning the violence and calling for <a href="https://www.conservativenewsdaily.net/breaking-news/dem-who-portrays-himself-as-law-enforcement-advocate-sits-on-board-that-promotes-prison-alternatives/" title="Dem Who Portrays Himself as ... Despite reports of a general decrease in violent crime in 2025, locals note that safety remains a major concern. Coristine, who was initially mocked for his nickname, continues his work combating government fraud and abuse at the Social security Administration. The Washington Times reports that two 15-year-old boys from Maryland were arrested following an alleged unarmed carjacking involving Edward Coristine, a former employee of the Department of Government Efficiency, early Sunday morning. Coristine, now 19 and working as a software engineer, gained attention for using “Big Balls” as his online alias. Despite media amusement over his nickname, he is an entrepreneur with several startups and successfully defended himself against two carjackers in Logan Circle while protecting his car and girlfriend inside it.

The report also mentions other teens involved in the incident who fled before police arrived. Coristine was injured during the attack. According to The Washington Times, “Mr. Coristine pushed the woman into the vehicle to keep her safe after threats were made about taking the car. Several youths then assaulted him until law enforcement intervened.”

In response to this event, former President Donald Trump publicly praised Coristine and warned about juvenile offenders involved in violent crimes like this one. He criticized crime rates in Washington D.C., highlighting that young offenders often face little consequence due to lenient laws and called for harsher prosecution starting at age 14.

Elon Musk also expressed support for Coristine on social media, recounting how a group of young men tried to assault a woman at night in D.C., but was stopped by a DOGE team member who was severely beaten while defending her – calling again for federal control over D.C.

While D.C.’s local government has some autonomy under the Home Rule Act of 1973 despite being federally governed by Congress, crime remains an ongoing concern even though recent data shows some decline.

Coristine initially faced ridicule over his nickname when joining DOGE but explained it came from his LinkedIn profile where people tend to be overly serious; he wanted something different that reflected risk-taking rather than caution.

Currently employed with the Social Security Administration investigating waste and fraud similarly to his previous role at DOGE, police continue searching for other suspects involved in this case. Given challenges within parts of D.C.’s governance system outside federal oversight, it’s notable they apprehended even two suspects related to this incident involving “Big Balls.” If Trump’s proposals are implemented, residents might see improvements addressing such crimes going forward

[33651
4283,39567,4901,3634
post-2471771","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-the-western-journal","tag-arrests","tag-dc-police","tag-justice","tag-trump
["GET
