Further revelations from Senator Chuck Grassley&#8217;s release of the Durham Annex indicate that Hillary Clinton&#8217;s campaign helped fabricate the narrative to distract from her email controversy, which the FBI failed to properly investigate. Amid growing scrutiny, Attorney General Pam Bondi has ordered a grand jury review of the alleged conspiracy. Critics argue the mainstream media hopes the public will be duped again, but skepticism is widespread.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>In the wake of bombshell <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/07\/30\/house-intel-chair-says-declassified-docs-show-obama-directed-psyop\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">declassified documents<\/a> showing the Obama White House and <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >deep state players manufacturing<\/a> the intelligence report that jump-started the Russia collusion hoax, a new poll finds a majority of Americans believe President Barack Obama&rsquo;s national security team &ldquo;committed crimes.&rdquo;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>More than two-thirds (69%) of likely voters in a Rasmussen Report telephone and online <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rasmussenreports.com\/public_content\/politics\/trump_administration_second_term\/69_agree_russiagate_requires_accountability\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">survey<\/a> said there must be consequences for crimes committed in the <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/08\/01\/everything-damaging-to-democrats-is-russian-disinformation-to-the-media\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Russiagate scandal.<\/a> The poll of 1,172 likely voters <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rasmussenreports.com\/public_content\/politics\/questions\/questions\/august_2025\/questions_accountability_july_29_31_2025\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">asked <\/a>respondents, &ldquo;Do you agree or disagree with this statement about the manipulation of intelligence in the Obama administration: &lsquo;Accountability has to take place. &hellip; It is critical for the survival of our country that people who perpetrate such crimes are held accountable?&rsquo;&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>And 54 percent believe it&rsquo;s likely that members of former President Barack Obama&rsquo;s national security team &ldquo;committed crimes&rdquo; when they &ldquo;manipulated and manufactured intelligence to&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.dni.gov\/index.php\/newsroom\/press-releases\/press-releases-2025\/4090-pr-18-25\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">promote a false narrative about Russia and President Donald Trump<\/a>.&rdquo; That number includes 37 percent who said it is very likely crimes were committed. The poll found 41 percent who don&rsquo;t think it&rsquo;s likely crimes were committed by Obama administration officials, including 28 percent who say it&rsquo;s &ldquo;not at all likely.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<h2>&lsquo;Fake Narrative&rsquo;<\/h2>\n<p>The poll was released following revelations about the machinery behind the <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/07\/29\/the-russia-collusion-hoax-is-worse-than-you-think\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Russia collusion hoax<\/a> &mdash; the debunked deep state and Democratic Party-driven narrative that the Trump campaign colluded with the Kremlin in the political outsider&rsquo;s 2016 victory over bitter, failed Democrat candidate Hillary Clinton. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.dni.gov\/files\/ODNI\/documents\/DIG\/DIG-Russia-Hoax-Memo-and-Timeline_revisited.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Reams of classified documents<\/a> unsealed and released by Director of National Intelligence Tulsi Gabbard has shone light on deep state leaders directed by then-President Barack Obama <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/07\/22\/top-intelligence-officials-contradicted-brennan-no-intelligence-to-support-key-russia-hoax-claim\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ignoring warnings<\/a> from career intelligence community professionals. The poll shows 56% of Democrats are following the investigation, 32% believe serious crimes were committed and 59% agree the perpetrators must be &lsquo;held accountable,&rsquo;&rdquo; <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2025\/08\/03\/opinion\/miranda-devine-russiagate-lies-are-being-exposed-and-everybody-is-watching-even-the-dems\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wrote<\/a> New York Post columnist Miranda Devine in a piece on the Rasmussen poll published over the weekend. &ldquo;The respective Republican comparison is 75%, 83% and 86%.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/07\/29\/shameless-accomplice-media-spins-again-to-cover-for-obama-and-friends\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">report<\/a> by Tim Graham, Executive Editor of the Media Research Center&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsbusters.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">NewsBusters<\/a>, found that the broadcast news networks devoted more than&nbsp;2,284 minutes&nbsp;to Russiagate coverage during Trump&rsquo;s presidency, but ignored or downplayed recent disclosures from Gabbard showing the Obama administration may have framed Trump.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Devine said the Rasmussen survey demonstrates the impotence of &ldquo;Democrat-allied media, like the New York Times, Washington Post, ABC, NBC and CBS, which showered themselves with praise and Pulitzer Prizes for their since-debunked stories about Russiagate and are hoping their audience is willing to be duped again.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;But like the boy who cried wolf, no one is listening anymore,&rdquo; Devine wrote.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p>      Matt Kittle is a senior elections correspondent for The Federalist.
