Clark, who currently works at the White House Office of Management and Budget, allegedly made intentionally false statements in a draft letter claiming there was important election fraud. The Bar stated that such dishonesty is unacceptable, notably given the national importance of the issue, and emphasized that lawyers must not advocate based on falsehoods. Bar recommended disbarring Jeffrey Clark on Thursday over &ldquo;dishonesty&rdquo; in legal advice he gave related to the 2020 election.<\/p>\n<p>Clark, who now leads regulatory review at the White House Office of Management and Budget, should be disbarred &ldquo;as a consequence and to send a message to the rest of the Bar and to the public that this behavior will not be tolerated,&rdquo; the D.C. Bar Board on Professional Responsibility wrote in a <a href=\"https:\/\/assets.bwbx.io\/documents\/users\/iqjWHBFdfxIU\/r5x3jOR_WVG0\/v0\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">report<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The board concluded Clark, who served in the Department of Justice during Trump&rsquo;s first term, attempted to make &ldquo;intentionally false statements&rdquo; in a draft <a href=\"https:\/\/www.documentcloud.org\/documents\/21087991-jeffrey-clark-draft-letter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">letter<\/a>, suggesting there had been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/federal-grand-jury-indicts-trump-over-alleged-efforts-to-overturn-election\/\" title=\"Trump indicted by Federal Grand Jury for alleged election interference.\">outcome-determinative fraud<\/a> in the 2020 election.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;While dishonesty is always intolerable, the facts here are significantly aggravating to warrant disbarment: Respondent was prepared to cause the Justice Department to tell a lie about the status of its investigation of an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/first-time-biden-speaks-on-trumps-mug-shot-handsome-guy\/\" title=\"Biden&#039;s First Remark on Trump&#039;s Mug Shot: &#039;Quite Attractive&#039;\">important national issue<\/a> (the integrity of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/beginning-lock-ex-fbi-dir-wray-referred-criminal-prosecution-related-2020-voter-fraud\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">2020 Presidential election<\/a>),&rdquo; the report continued. &ldquo;Lawyers cannot advocate for any outcome based on false statements and they certainly cannot urge others to do so.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The D.C.
