Under President Trump&rsquo;s leadership, we are restoring constitutional freedoms and making government a place where people of faith are respected, not sidelined.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>OPM separately released <a href=\"https:\/\/www.chcoc.gov\/content\/reasonable-accommodations-religious-purposes\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"guidance\">guidance<\/a> earlier this month about reasonable accommodations for religious employees, providing examples of protected conduct. <\/p>\n<p>In the memo, OPM officials said the federal workforce should be a welcoming place for employees who practice a religious faith and that protecting expression is required by law and important for recruitment and retention.<\/p>\n<p>Trump has <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/every-word-of-this-is-false-ted-cruz-blasts-ilhan-omars-attack-on-coach-kennedy-prayer-case\/\" title=\"\u2018Every Word Of This Is False\u2019: Ted Cruz Blasts Ilhan Omar\u2019s Attack On Coach Kennedy Prayer Case\">made religious freedom<\/a> a key plank of his second term, signing an executive order in February that aimed to &ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/3312795\/trump-executive-order-ending-war-christians\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"end the war on Christians\">end the war on Christians<\/a>&rdquo; and another that targeted antisemitism.<\/p>\n<p>The final page of the memo lists examples of protected religious expression, such as employees keeping Bibles on their desks and reading them during breaks, wearing cross necklaces or <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >clothing displaying religious messages<\/a>, or gathering in prayer groups with other employees.<\/p>\n<p>During breaks, employees may also speak to their coworkers about why they believe their faith is correct, though they should stop if the nonadherent asks them to. <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Employees may engage in conversations regarding religious topics with fellow employees, including attempting to persuade others of the correctness of their own religious views, provided that such efforts are not harassing in nature,&rdquo;
