The dispute centered around a contest Lindell held after the 2020 presidential election, offering $5 million to anyone who could disprove his claim that foreign interference, notably from China, affected the election results based on cyber data he presented.<\/p>\n<p>Zeidman participated in the contest and submitted a report arguing that Lindell&#8217;s data was unrelated to the election.While the <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >contest judges initially ruled<\/a> against Zeidman&#8217;s claim, an arbitration panel later decided in Zeidman&#8217;s favor and awarded him the $5 million. However, the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of appeals found that the arbitration panel exceeded its authority by modifying the clear contractual terms of the contest and thus overturned the award.<\/p>\n<p>Lindell praised the ruling as vindication and an important step toward his ongoing efforts to secure election integrity. Zeidman expressed dissatisfaction wiht the appellate decision, emphasizing that the arbitrators had heard all evidence before ruling. Steven Grasz said the arbitration panel had exceeded its authority in finding Lindell owed Zeidman $5 million.<\/p>\n<p>Zeidman had argued to the arbitration panel that Lindell owed him $5 million because he won the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/16-time-champion-joey-chestnut-banned-nathans-hot-dog-eating-contest-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">famous contest<\/a>&nbsp;the MyPillow founder held after the 2020 presidential election.<\/p>\n<p>In August of 2021,&nbsp;Lindell held a &ldquo;Prove Mike Wrong Challenge&rdquo; offering a $5 million reward to anyone who could disprove his belief that the 2020 election had been stolen.<\/p>\n<p>The contest was based on Lindell&rsquo;s assertion that he possessed data, specifically &ldquo;packet captures&rdquo; and other cyber data, proving foreign interference &mdash; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/2020-election-fraud-bombshell-patel-discovers-suppressed-fbi-docs-claiming-china-fake-mail-voting-plot-elect-biden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">particularly from China<\/a> &mdash; in the election.<\/p>\n<p>Zeidman subsequently entered the contest and submitted a 15-page report allegedly proving that Lindell&rsquo;s packet capture data (PCAP) was unrelated to the 2020 election.<\/p>\n<p>However, the contest judges determined that his report didn&rsquo;t sufficiently prove that Lindell&rsquo;s PCAP was unrelated to the 2020 election.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">I helped to write the contest rules, served on the contest panel, testified at the arbitration, and I agree with the federal ruling that overturns the Zeidman arbitration ruling. Congratulations to Mike Lindell!<a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Zvah1Ylev1\">https:\/\/t.co\/Zvah1Ylev1<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Dr Douglas G Frank (@DrFrankModels) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/DrFrankModels\/status\/1948108985611215166?\">July 23, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Unhappy with this ruling, Zeidman then sought arbitration with a panel of three arbitrators, and they in turn ruled on April 19, 2023, that he&rsquo;d <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/student-wins-10k-prize-impressive-feat-denied-purse-technicality\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">won the contest<\/a> and was therefore owed $5 million.<\/p>\n<p>But the three-judge panel of the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals disagreed with this conclusion.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We conclude that the panel effectively amended the unambiguous Challenge contract when it used extrinsic evidence to require that the data provided was packet capture data, thereby violating established principles of Minnesota contract law and our arbitration precedents,&rdquo; the panel wrote.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Fair or not, agreed-to contract terms may not be modified by the panel or by this court,&rdquo; they added.<\/p>\n<p>Lindell <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/big-win-jury-renders-verdict-mypillow-ceo-mike-lindell-isnt-backing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">celebrated the ruling<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This is vindication,&rdquo; he told <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/regulation\/court-battles\/5415777-federal-court-sides-with-lindell\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Hill<\/a>. &ldquo;This opens a door that no man can shut. I am so excited.
