They&rsquo;ll go into place,&rdquo; Lutnick said on &ldquo;Fox News Sunday.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Lutnick noted that further negotiations were a possibility and that deals could be made after that deadline.<\/p>\n<p>Trump has also said the new Aug. 1 deadline is &ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/economy\/3465089\/trump-august-tariff-rate-deadline-firm-but-not-100-firm\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">firm but not 100% firm<\/a>.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Trump delayed his April 2 &ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/3369176\/trump-liberation-day-tariffs-what-to-know\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Liberation Day<\/a>&rdquo; tariffs less than a week after they were implemented, setting a 90-day freeze to cap most tariffs at 10% until July 9. The Trump administration then said they were executing &ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/white-house\/3462371\/trump-trade-deals-90-days-uk-vietnam-india\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">90 deals in 90 days<\/a>.&rdquo; Around a dozen deals with countries have been announced since then, and many of the details of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/states-are-distributing-tax-dollars-to-chinese-companies\/\" title=\"States Are Distributing Tax Dollars To Chinese Companies\">deals haven&#038;rsquo<\/a>;t been announced. <\/p>\n<p>Trump later sent counties <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/economy\/3457529\/trump-trade-policy-tariff-rates-letters\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">letters<\/a> increasing, decreasing, or keeping in place their tariff rate.
