Tell that to the Border Patrol agents <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/suspect-border-patrol-ambush-identified-strange-writing-found-car\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">who&rsquo;ve been ambushed<\/a> by domestic terrorists unhappy to see immigration laws being enforced. Tell it to the ICE agents and ordinary police officers <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/another-one-fbi-now-looking-military-vet-related-attempt-kill-ice-agents\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">who&rsquo;ve been fired<\/a> on just for doing their lawful duty.<\/p>\n<p>A video ICE posted to the social media platform X on June 30 makes it clear just how pervasive the danger is. ICE acting Director Todd Lyons details how ICE officers, and even the children of ICE officers, have been targeted by leftists publicizing their identities and locations with the clear idea of putting their lives in danger.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Encouraging gangs and others to rise against &ndash; or kill &ndash; ICE officers is a crime, and you will be prosecuted.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Is that the issue here, that were upset about the masks; or is anyone upset at the fact that ICE officers&rsquo; families were labeled terrorists?&rdquo; &mdash;ICE Acting Director Todd&hellip; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/gJ7cHlq8GZ\">pic.twitter.com\/gJ7cHlq8GZ<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (@ICEgov) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ICEgov\/status\/1939710236488544666?\">June 30, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Democratic lawmakers know the danger that&rsquo;s out there &mdash; they can read the news as well as anyone, and their voters are the ones creating it, anyway.<\/p>\n<p>But that isn&rsquo;t stopping them from trying to make it worse.<\/p>\n<p>According to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsweek.com\/map-shows-states-trying-ban-ice-agents-wearing-masks-2103502\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Newsweek<\/a> report, Democrats in five states &mdash; California, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, and Tennessee &mdash; have introduced bills to ban masks during <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-administration-limits-arrest-of-illegal-immigrants-at-courthouses\/\" title=\"Biden Administration Limits Arrest of Illegal Immigrants at Courthouses\">immigration enforcement actions<\/a>, knowing that their chief effect will be to make ICE officers and their families vulnerable to the kind of mob violence that led President Donald Trump to send military force to Los Angeles to quiet things down.<\/p>\n<p>And on Thursday, according to the Michigan news outlet <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mlive.com\/politics\/2025\/07\/ice-officers-could-face-jail-time-under-michigan-bill-to-ban-masked-police.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">MLive<\/a>, a Michigan Democrat made his state the sixth where a similar bill has been proposed.<\/p>\n<p>Fortunately, at the federal level, thanks to a Republican-controlled Senate and White House, the Democratic anti-masking bill has less than a snowball&rsquo;s chance in hell of becoming law in the foreseeable future.<\/p>\n<p>At the state level, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/what-biden-doesnt-want-you-knowing-about-drug-price-controls\/\" title=\"What Biden Doesn&#039;t Want You Knowing About Drug Pr... Controls\">things aren&#038;rsquo<\/a>;t so safe &mdash; particularly in Democratic California, where Gov. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/gavin-newsom-tries-play-tough-sends-tom-homan-unwise-challenge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gavin Newsom<\/a> is plotting his pandering path to victory in his party&rsquo;s 2028 presidential primary.<\/p>\n<p>But as Newsweek noted, even if California&rsquo;s bill becomes law, it faces potentially lethal legal challenges &ldquo;over whether a state can dictate how federal officers dress.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The most important thing here isn&rsquo;t about whether these bills become law, but what their proposals say about the political group behind them.<\/p>\n<p>Democrats are deliberately putting in danger the men and women who enforce our nation&rsquo;s laws, simply to pander to an underclass of lawbreakers and a <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >fatuously sophomoric radical wing<\/a> of leftist progressives. That&rsquo;s a party that is proving itself unworthy of being close to political power in a United States that believes in liberty and law.<\/p>\n<p>American voters demonstrated they understood that when they elected Donald Trump to the presidency in November 2024.
