Cannon told Routh.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Routh said he did not think the attorneys assigned to him answered his questions or were willing to employ legal strategies he wanted pursued.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&ldquo;I hoped it would work out,&rdquo; Routh said. &ldquo;I was very optimistic.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">He also said they did not believe in him.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&ldquo;How are they supposed to represent me and say I&rsquo;m not a dangerous person when they don&rsquo;t believe that?&rdquo; Routh said, according to an Associated Press article posted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.courthousenews.com\/man-accused-of-attempting-to-assassinate-trump-can-represent-himself-at-trial-judge-says\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Courthouse News Service<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Cannon touched on Routh&rsquo;s offer to be <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/fbi-already-warned-trump-assassination-suspect-ryan-routh-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">exchanged<\/a> by saying, &ldquo;I have no power or any opinion of anything you&rsquo;ve written there.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Although Routh criticized his attorneys, he later praised them, WPTV noted.<\/p>\n<p style=\"font-weight: 400;\">&ldquo;There is no friction. There is no conflict,&rdquo; Routh told Cannon before telling one public defender, &ldquo;I apologize.
