Ramirez faces 37 counts of attempted murder and 37 counts of assault with a deadly weapon after allegedly ramming his vehicle into a crowd outside a nightclub. Fortunately, there were no fatalities. Authorities revealed that many victims sustained serious injuries,including fractures and lacerations. Ramirez reportedly had been kicked out of the nightclub for disruptive behavior and is believed to have been intoxicated at the time of the incident, though officials have not confirmed this. After the attack,he was shot in the back by an unknown gunman who fled the scene. Hochman did not comment on whether Ramirez was drunk or high at the time of the vehicular attack outside the nightclub. It remains unclear if he was specifically targeting anyone in the crowd.<\/p>\n<p>After the incident, a gunman shot Ramirez in the back before fleeing the scene. Police are still searching for the shooter.<\/p>\n<p>The 29-year-old man from San Clemente in Orange County has an extensive criminal record. His first court appearance has been moved to July 30.<\/p>\n<p>The suspect is being held without bail ahead of his trial.
