The lawsuit, filed in Delaware Superior Court, stems from Owens&#8217; repeated false claims that Brigitte Macron is transgender and was born a man, along with other unfounded accusations such as allegations of identity theft, incest between the macrons, and <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >conspiracy theories involving mind-control programs<\/a>. Despite alleged personal requests from former President Donald Trump to stop this campaign, Owens continued making these statements. Owens has responded defiantly on social media, and some commentators anticipate that the legal proceedings, particularly the discovery phase, could reveal further controversial facts. She&rsquo;s described these claims as &ldquo;likely the biggest scandal in political history,&rdquo; per CNN.<\/p>\n<p>(Yes, this is the very same issue Trump apparently directly called Owens about, and yes, Owens claimed she was defiant in the face of the president&rsquo;s request.)<\/p>\n<p>This claim has rankled <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/humiliating-video-macron-wife-involved-another-emasculating-airplane-incident\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the French first family<\/a>, who are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/french-media-buries-damning-video-macron\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">not used to an antagonistic media<\/a>, but it&rsquo;s not just this claim that is mentioned in the lawsuit.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;These outlandish, defamatory, and far-fetched fictions included that Mrs Macron was born a man, stole another person&rsquo;s identity, and transitioned to become Brigitte; Mrs Macron and President Macron are blood relatives committing incest; President Macron was chosen to be the President of France as part of the CIA-operated MKUltra program or a similar mind-control program; and Mrs Macron and President Macron are committing forgery, fraud, and abuses of power to conceal these secrets,&rdquo; the lawsuit states, according to the U.K.&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/world\/2025\/jul\/23\/emmanuel-brigitte-macron-candace-owens-lawsuit-defamation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Guardian<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Because Ms Owens systematically reaffirmed these falsehoods in response to each of our attorneys&rsquo; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/school-board-member-claims-to-be-victim-of-homophobic-vandalism-no-one-will-provide-the-police-report\/\" title=\"School Board Member Claims To Be Victim Of Homophobic Vandalism. No One Will Provide The Police Report.\">repeated requests<\/a> for a retraction, we ultimately concluded that referring the matter to a court of law was the only remaining avenue,&rdquo; the Macrons said via statement. &ldquo;Ms Owens&rsquo; campaign of defamation was plainly designed to harass and cause pain to us and our families and to garner attention and notoriety.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We gave her every opportunity to back away from these claims, but she refused. It is our earnest hope that this lawsuit will set the record straight and end this campaign of defamation once and for all.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The Macrons are suing Owens for punitive damages, and they are also demanding a retraction of her documented claims.<\/p>\n<p>For her part, Owens seems unafraid to tangle with the Macrons.<\/p>\n<p>According to CNN, Owens took to Instagram to  a screen shot of the lawsuit and wrote, &ldquo;I will be coming for this wig today.
