Gurdon argues these buffer zones are a weakness for China, as they are populated by resentful, non-Chinese ethnicities.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;It isn&rsquo;t unified at all, and that&rsquo;s the nature of tyrannies,&rdquo; Gurdon said. &ldquo;It has these buffer zones which are ethnically different. It needs to separate the core Han people from outside influence.
