Presented to ...\">comprehensively reviewed thumb drives 1<\/a> through 5,&rdquo; the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/fbi-opened-grand-conspiracy-probe-everything-russiagate-hillarys-s-jack-smith-using-past-evidence-conveniently-locked-away\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Clinton<\/a> Annex read.<\/p>\n<p>Then, on the third page of the appendix, the OIG investigators added a remarkable footnote.<\/p>\n<p>They began by explaining that the information in the footnote went &ldquo;beyond the scope of our current review.&rdquo; But they thought it worth including nonetheless.<\/p>\n<p>Perhaps they sensed something amiss.<\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/trump-approval-rating-drops-americans-weigh-fbis-epstein-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">FBI<\/a> witnesses, the FBI Cyber Division tried to conduct a &ldquo;comprehensive review&rdquo; of those first five thumb drives. Unidentified DOJ and FBI officials, however, denied them access.<\/p>\n<p>Next, the OIG investigators indicated that on Aug. 31, 2016, then-FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe sought permission from then-Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates to scour all eight thumb drives for evidence of possible Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election.<\/p>\n<p>Three weeks later, McCabe had the first of two meetings with Yates, White House Counsel W. Neil Eggleston, and others. At those meetings, and in an  dated Sept. 30, 2016, Eggleston expressed concerns that, according to the OIG investigators, the FBI&rsquo;s request to review the thumb drives &ldquo;was overly broad and did not include sufficient protection for privileged material.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>FBI witnesses said that the Bureau &ldquo;did not raise the issue again with EoP given the focus in October and November 2016 on the investigation into Russian election interference&rdquo; and other issues.<\/p>\n<p>In short, something smells. Either the FBI witnesses had circuitous logic, or senior Obama administration officials lied through their teeth.<\/p>\n<p>Consider: McCabe sought access to all eight thumb drives to search for information pertaining to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/jillian-michaels-jaw-drops-megyn-kelly-explains-hillary-used-russia-hoax-tulsi-gabbard\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Russia<\/a> and the 2016 election.<\/p>\n<p>Then, after meeting with the White House counsel, McCabe &ldquo;did not raise the issue again&rdquo; because &mdash; one scratches one&rsquo;s head &mdash; the FBI decided to focus on Russia and the 2016 election.<\/p>\n<p>It makes no sense, which leaves one grasping for alternate explanations.<\/p>\n<p>One such explanation, of course, involves the contents of Obama&rsquo;s s. What did he send to Clinton on her private  server? Perhaps it was nothing.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to Director of National Intelligence <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/tulsi-gabbard-uncovers-treasonous-conspiracy-within-obama-admin-releases-bombshell-documents\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Tulsi Gabbard<\/a>, however, we already know that Obama directed what appears to have been a &ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/house-oversight-members-call-for-arrests-over-obama-2016-election-narrative-washington-examiner\/\" title=\"House Oversight members call for arrests over ... ... narrative - Washington Examiner\">treasonous conspiracy&#038;rdquo<\/a>; in 2016.
