Tim Burchett (R-TN), follows efforts by the Department of Justice and FBI to meet with Maxwell, who is currently in federal prison, to obtain more credible evidence in the case.Committee leadership plans to coordinate with the DOJ and Bureau of Prisons to schedule her testimony promptly. Democrats on the committee planned to offer the resolution introduced by Reps. Thomas Massie (R-KY) and Ro Khanna (D-CA) to release the Epstein files, which would have forced Rules Republicans into a tough vote.
