The pools,at least 48 inches tall and sold since 2002,have compression straps wrapped around their outside support poles. These straps can serve as footholds for toddlers, allowing them to climb into the pools unsupervised, posing a drowning hazard. The recall affects about 5 million pools sold across major retailers in the U.S. and Canada. Consumers are advised to <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >obtain free repair kits<\/a> from the manufacturers, which include ropes to replace the compression straps, reducing the risk. The child deaths took place in &nbsp;California, Texas, Florida, Michigan, Wisconsin and Missouri between 2007 and 2022.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/life-threatening-popular-snack-recalled-major-error\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">recall<\/a> covers about 5 million pools that are at least 48 inches tall.<\/p>\n<p>The pools were made by Bestway, with operations in China and America, Intex Recreation Corp., and Polygroup North America Inc. All the pools were made in China.<\/p>\n<p>The flaw that makes these <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/hero-jumps-fence-leaps-pool-save-age-4-boy-autism-drowning\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pools<\/a> dangerous is that they were made with compression straps that wrap around the outside of the pool and its supporting poles.
