D. Gov.\">gender-affirming medications<\/a>. This change will go into effect on August 30, 2025,&rdquo; the hospital posted on its <a href=\"https:\/\/www.childrensnational.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">website<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>These medications include <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mayoclinic.org\/diseases-conditions\/gender-dysphoria\/in-depth\/pubertal-blockers\/art-20459075\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">puberty blockers<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/dc-md-va\/2025\/07\/18\/children-national-ends-gender-transition-care\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">hormone therapy<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Mental health and other support services for LGBT patients remain available. You are always welcome at Children&rsquo;s National for your other medical needs,&rdquo; Children&rsquo;s National added.<\/p>\n<p>The move comes as other children&rsquo;s hospitals in the country, including those in Phoenix&nbsp;and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/media\/childrens-hospital-los-angeles-halts-transgender-care-amid-pressure-from-trump\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Los Angeles,<\/a> have made the same decision earlier this year.
