However, they can be unsealed if it&rsquo;s considered in the public interest.<\/p>\n<p>And given the level of attention the Epstein case is demanding, almost six years after he was found dead of what is officially considered a suicide, President Donald Trump clearly considers that standard to be met. On Thursday night, he announced <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/breaking-trump-orders-release-pertinent-epstein-grand-jury-testimony\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">he was asking<\/a> Bondi to move to have the testimony unsealed.<\/p>\n<p>The development comes after a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/politics\/trump-jeffrey-epstein-birthday-letter-we-have-certain-things-in-common-f918d796?mod=e2tw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wall Street Journal report<\/a> alleged that Trump had sent Epstein a letter for Epstein&rsquo;s 50th birthday that included the drawing of a naked woman with a typewritten passage inside signed with Trump&rsquo;s first name.<\/p>\n<p>The article bore the headline, &ldquo;Jeffrey Epstein&rsquo;s Friends Sent Him Bawdy Letters for a 50th Birthday Album. One Was From Donald Trump.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Trump <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/we-asked-ai-who-wrote-the-trump-epstein-note-and-the-answer-it-gave-blew-our-minds\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">has flatly denied<\/a> writing the letter and said he will <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/trump-suing-wall-street-journal-outlet-publishes-alleged-letter-epstein\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sue the newspaper<\/a> over the story.<\/p>\n<p>Salacious as the letter is, or could be, it&rsquo;s unlikely to be part of any grand jury materials, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/national-security\/2025\/07\/18\/bondi-epstein-files-documents-grand-jury-testimony-doj\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Washington Post<\/a> noted.
