White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed this diagnosis following concerns raised by visible discoloration on Trump&#8217;s hands and swelling in his ankles noted during <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/fact-check-viral-image-claims-nancy-pelosi-was-executed\/\" title=\"FACT CHECK: Viral Image Claims Nancy Pelosi Was Executed\">recent public appearances<\/a>. Leavitt added.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Bilateral lower extremity venous Doppler ultrasounds were performed and revealed chronic venous insufficiency, a benign and common condition, particularly in individuals over the age of 70,&rdquo; she said.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Importantly, there was no evidence of deep vein thrombosis or arterial disease,&rdquo; Leavitt clarified.<\/p>\n<p>She added that all laboratory tests, including blood count, metabolic panel, and cardiac biomarkers, were &ldquo;within normal limits.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;An echocardiogram was also performed, and confirmed normal cardiac structure and function,&rdquo; Leavitt said.<\/p>\n<p>She stated that doctors found &ldquo;no signs of heart failure, renal impairment, or systemic illness.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Leavitt also addressed recent concerns over minor bruising on the back of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/zelenskyy-trump-reportedly-discussing-weapons-mega-deal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Trump&rsquo;s<\/a> hand.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This is consistent with minor soft tissue irritation from frequent handshaking and the use of aspirin,&rdquo; she said.<\/p>\n<p>Aspirin, she added, &ldquo;is taken as part of a standard cardiovascular prevention regimen.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This is a well-known and benign side effect of aspirin therapy,&rdquo; Leavitt said.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/my.clevelandclinic.org\/health\/diseases\/16872-chronic-venous-insufficiency-cvi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">According to<\/a> the Cleveland Clinic, chronic venous insufficiency occurs &ldquo;when veins in your legs are damaged.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;As a result, these veins can&rsquo;t manage blood flow as well as they should,&rdquo; the clinic states.<\/p>\n<p>It adds: &ldquo;CVI causes blood to pool in your leg veins, leading to high pressure in those veins.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The clinic also notes that &ldquo;chronic venous insufficiency usually affects people over age 50&rdquo;
