\t\t\t\t}); \t\t\t} \t\t<\/script> <\/p>\n<p>ABC reported that President Trump had groused about a Comey having a top role in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/bondi-triggers-doj-purge-prominent-ethics-official-among-fired\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Department of Justice<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>However, Comey had been kept on after her father&rsquo;s firing in 2017 and continued to be a prosecutor in some of the highest-profile criminal cases the DOJ brought, both under the first Trump administration and the Biden administration.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to Epstein and Maxwell, Comey helped prosecute Columbia University gynecologist Robert Hadden, who was accused of sexually abusing numerous young women, and Natalie Edwards, a former Department of Treasury official who leaked thousands of &ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/susan-crawford-donated-to-controversial-dem-fundraising-giant\/\" title=\"Susan Crawford Donated To Controversial Dem Fundraising Giant\">suspicious activity reports&#038;rdquo<\/a>; and tried to claim whistleblower status.<\/p>\n<p>Hadden was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/usao-sdny\/pr\/former-obstetriciangynecologist-robert-hadden-sentenced-20-years-prison-sexually\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">found guilty at trial<\/a>, and Edwards <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/news\/2021\/06\/03\/former-treasury-official-sentenced-to-six-months-in-prison-for-mueller-related-leaks-491781\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">pleaded guilty<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.businessinsider.com\/maurene-comey-james-comey-daughter-leading-jeffrey-epstein-case-2019-7\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Business Insider<\/a> noted in a 2021 profile of the attorney, the younger Comey was unlike her father, in that she &ldquo;has largely stayed out of the spotlight, instead maintaining a low-profile presence.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>However, it was impossible to maintain that low profile during the Diddy case, which ended with the jury largely rejecting the government&rsquo;s assertion that Combs had been, as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/news\/us-news\/sean-diddy-combs-verdict-blow-federal-prosecutors-analysts-say-rcna216573\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NBC News<\/a> put it, &ldquo;the key figure in sprawling racketeering and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/ann-coulter-the-great-epstein-cover-up-part-i\/\" title=\"Ann Coulter: The Great ...
