Additionally, fewer people fear becoming victims of natural disasters today compared to previous years. It was 35 percent. [In] 2000: 40 percent. [In] 2020: 46 percent. And [in] 2025: 40 percent, which is the exact same percentage as back in 2000. Despite all of these horrible weather events, the percentage of Americans who were greatly worried about climate change has stayed pretty gosh darn consistent.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Enten said, it &ldquo;boggles the mind,&rdquo; that with all the recent weather events in the media, people aren&rsquo;t more worried.<\/p>\n<p>When people polled were asked if they are &ldquo;often\/sometimes worried&rdquo; that they&rsquo;ll be a &ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/chinese-nationals-are-surging-over-the-border-this-isnt-a-crisis-its-an-invasion\/\" title=\"Chinese nationals are crossing the border in large numbers - it&#039;s not a crisis, it&#039;s an invasion\">natural disaster victim<\/a>,&rdquo; only 32 percent agreed, which is down from 38 percent back in 2006.<\/p>\n<p>When asked if climate change would have an &ldquo;effect on my home area&rdquo; only 17 percent of all adults said yes, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-john-fetterman-turns-party-inappropriate-outrageous-treatment-ice\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Democrats<\/a> polling at a mere 27 percent. Independents were even lower at 16 percent, and Republicans were at 6 percent.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-media-max-width=\"560\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Climate activists have failed to make the case on climate change.<\/p>\n<p>Despite all the bad weather, just 40% of Americans are greatly worried about climate change. The same as in 2000.<\/p>\n<p>The % who worry about being a natural disaster victim has dropped from 38% in 2006 to 32% now. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/7aZ58BPtxX\">pic.twitter.com\/7aZ58BPtxX<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; (((Harry Enten))) (@ForecasterEnten) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/ForecasterEnten\/status\/1943304093805744142?\">July 10, 2025<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This is across the aisle in terms of the percentage,&rdquo; Enten added. &ldquo;Under 50 percent of Democrats, Republicans and independents believe that in fact they could be, or at least worry about the chance, that they&rsquo;d be a natural disaster victim.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;They may worry about it in the abstract,&rdquo; he concluded. &ldquo;But when it comes to their own lives, they don&rsquo;t worry.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Americans are likely tired of the preaching, the fear tactics, and the drama. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/hollywoods-new-guy-exposes-raging-hypocrite-really\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Hollywood<\/a> has been pushing the &ldquo;Day After Tomorrow&rdquo; narrative for more than two decades, yet this apocalypse never came.<\/p>\n<p>First it was labeled &ldquo;global warming&rdquo; and was supposed to melt the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/landmark-climate-study-says-melting-arctic-wont-lead-to-more-severe-cold-weather\/\" title=\"Landmark Climate Study Says Melting Arctic Won\u2019t Lead to More Severe Cold Weather\">polar ice caps<\/a>. When that didn&rsquo;t happen, it morphed into &ldquo;climate change,&rdquo; going in the other direction towards colder air.
