Most of these cases are centered in Harris county,with additional investigations underway in Guadalupe,Cameron,and Eastland counties,in coordination with texas Secretary of State Jane Nelson. Paxton emphasized that noncitizens must not be allowed to influence elections unlawfully and vowed to hold violators accountable. This investigation follows a recent probe into 33 suspected noncitizen voters in the 2024 election, enabled by access to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service&#8217;s verification database, authorized under a Trump administration executive order. I will not allow it to continue,&rdquo; Paxton said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.texasattorneygeneral.gov\/news\/releases\/attorney-general-ken-paxton-launches-sweeping-investigation-more-100-potential-noncitizens-who-voted\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"statement\">statement<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Thanks to President Trump&rsquo;s decisive action to help states safeguard the ballot box, this investigation will help Texas hold noncitizens accountable for unlawfully voting in American elections. If you&rsquo;re a noncitizen who illegally cast a ballot, you will face the full force of the law,&rdquo; he warned.<\/p>\n<p>The announcement adds to the Lone Star State&rsquo;s election integrity efforts.<\/p>\n<p>Just last month, Paxton&rsquo;s office <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/3444292\/ken-paxton-noncitizens-voting-texas-2024\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"opened investigations\">launched an investigation<\/a> into 33 suspected noncitizens who <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >allegedly committed voter fraud<\/a> in the 2024 election. That case was opened after Texas obtained access to the U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Service&rsquo;s Systematic Alien Verification for Entitlements database, thanks to President Donald Trump&rsquo;s executive order that granted all states access to the system.<\/p>\n<p>Nelson, a Republican, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/3436566\/texas-secretary-state-potential-noncitizen-voter-fraud\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"referred\">referred<\/a> those 33 cases to the Texas attorney general&rsquo;s office based on information obtained from the SAVE database.<\/p>\n<p>Both the Trump administration and Texas have ramped up their crackdown on voter fraud committed by illegal immigrants.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/3467896\/georgia-voter-rolls-to-remove-500k-inactive-registrations\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"GEORGIA STARTS PROCESS TO REMOVE 500,000 INACTIVE VOTER REGISTRATIONS\">GEORGIA STARTS PROCESS TO REMOVE 500,000 INACTIVE VOTER REGISTRATIONS<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The Department of Justice recently filed a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/opa\/pr\/justice-department-files-suit-against-orange-county-california-registrar-voters-refusing\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"lawsuit\">lawsuit<\/a> against Orange County, California, for failing to provide records showing the removal of noncitizens from its voter registration list and for failing to maintain an accurate voter list. The department argues that an inaccurate list violates the Help America Vote Act. It alleged the same violation in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.justice.gov\/opa\/pr\/justice-department-files-help-america-vote-act-lawsuit-against-north-carolina-inaccurate\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"similar lawsuit\">similar lawsuit<\/a> filed against North Carolina in May.<\/p>\n<p>On Monday, Paxton&rsquo;s office announced the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.texasattorneygeneral.gov\/news\/releases\/attorney-general-ken-paxton-releases-information-indictments-and-arrests-nine-individuals-including\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"indictments and arrests\">indictments and arrests<\/a> of nine individuals, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/florida-sheriff-charged-in-public-corruption-illegal-gambling-scheme-washington-examiner\/\" title=\"Florida sheriff charged in public corruption, illegal gambling scheme - Washington Examiner\">including public officials<\/a>, accused of participating in an illegal vote harvesting scheme in Frio County.
