The court decided that the Michigan GOP has the legal standing to sue the Board of Election Commissioners of Flint for failing to hire enough Republican poll workers during the 2022 elections, which allegedly violated Michigan election laws requiring equal representation from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/canadian-parliament-votes-unanimously-to-recognize-chinas-genocide\/\" title=\"Canadian Parliament Votes Unanimously To Recognize China\u2019s Genocide\">major political parties<\/a> among election inspectors. Michigan&rsquo;s GOP claimed this violated Michigan&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >state election laws<\/a>, specifically citing Michigan Election Law Act 116 of 1954.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The board of election commissioners shall designate one appointed election inspector as chairperson,&rdquo; <a target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/www.legislature.mi.gov\/Laws\/MCL?objectName=mcl-168-674\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reads<\/a> the law. &ldquo;The board of election commissioners shall appoint at least one election inspector from each major political party and shall appoint an equal number, as nearly as possible, of election inspectors in each election precinct from each major political party.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>RNC Chairman Michael Whatley touted the ruling as a victory in the fight for fair elections and a &ldquo;major win for election integrity in Michigan.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This is a major win for election integrity in Michigan,&rdquo; Whatley said in a press release about the court&rsquo;s decision.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The Michigan Supreme Court ruled that the RNC has standing to hold Flint&rsquo;s Board of Election Commissioners accountable for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/sf-city-attorney-calls-out-teachers-unions-vaccine-demands-unlawful\/\" title=\"SF City Attorney Calls Out Teachers\u2019 Union\u2019s Vaccine Demands: \u2018Un...ful\u2019\">violating state law<\/a>,&rdquo; he said. &ldquo;Every voter deserves transparency and fairness &mdash; and that starts with equal representation among poll workers.&rdquo;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The RNC will keep fighting and winning to secure honest elections across the country,&rdquo; Whatley added.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/3465931\/supreme-court-federal-firings-trump-plan-cut-federal-workforce\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SUPREME COURT ALLOWS TRUMP PLAN TO CUT FEDERAL WORKFORCE<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The court&rsquo;s ruling was the second such ruling in Michigan within the last nine months. Previously, the city of Detroit was found to be in violation when it did not hire a sufficient number of Republican election workers, including inspectors. During the August 2024 primary, there were <a href=\"https:\/\/gop.com\/press-release\/rnc-secures-michigan-win-for-election-integrity\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reportedly<\/a> &ldquo;hundreds of locations&rdquo; without Republican election workers and inspectors.
