Because at least he&rsquo;s not Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.<\/p>\n<p>Let me explain. You may remember that back in March of 2024, alleged journalist and Clinton administration hack fraud Stephanopoulos was interviewing GOP Rep. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-gop-rep-nancy-mace-taken-task-posts-cringeworthy-pajama-video\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Nancy Mace<\/a> of South Carolina on ABC&rsquo;s &ldquo;This Week.&rdquo; Mace, a survivor of sexual assault, was supporting then-Republican primary candidate Donald Trump, something Stephanopoulos decided to exploit in the most unseemly of ways.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;You endorsed Donald Trump for president. Judges and two separate juries have found him liable for rape and for defaming the victim of that rape,&rdquo; Stephanopoulos <a href=\"https:\/\/edition.cnn.com\/2024\/03\/19\/media\/trump-sues-abc-news-george-stephanopoulos\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a> during the interview. &ldquo;You don&rsquo;t find it offensive that Donald Trump has been found liable for rape?&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Slight issue: Trump was not found &ldquo;liable for rape.&rdquo; In a <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >civil kangaroo court case brought<\/a> by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/fact-check-trump-right-e-jean-carroll-cat-disgusting-name\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">thoroughly daffy writer E. Tries and Fails to Put on a Bra... Face After Hearing What Homan Has in Store for Her\">legally actionable &#038;mdash<\/a>; and ABC and Stephanopoulos ended up paying $15 million for that rather avoidable blunder.<\/p>\n<p>Anyway, Stephanopoulos has managed to avoid such stupidities in the year and change since. He&rsquo;s also not running for president, so he has nothing to lose but his money.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/trump-uses-aoc-skewer-palestinian-senator-schumer-stupid-guy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">AOC<\/a>, however &mdash; not so much.<\/p>\n<p>She&rsquo;s unhappy with the fact that the Trump administration hasn&rsquo;t released the Jeffrey Epstein files, and she thinks she knows the reason why. Sullivan is a landmark 1964 Supreme Court case which is supposed to be the guidepost for libel claims. Reckless disregard for the truth? She not only repeated the falsehood that cost ABC and Stephanopoulos $15 million, she didn&rsquo;t even qualify it with the adjudication in the Carroll civil case.<\/p>\n<p>I mean, say what you will about the other 2028 Democrat contenders&rsquo; pathetic attempts to garner attention &mdash; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/charlie-kirk-issues-important-warning-appearing-gavin-newsoms-new-podcast\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Gavin Newsom&rsquo;s cringetastic podcasts<\/a>, Kamala Harris&rsquo; will-she-or-won&rsquo;t-she California gubernatorial run, whatever the heck Jasmine Crockett is up to &mdash; at least it doesn&rsquo;t involve libeling a famously litigious president without any evidence.<\/p>\n<p>Expect him to go after just as much money from her, as well. And why not? After all, she told us for years that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/aoc-sends-impeachment-threat-scotus-immunity-ruling-trump-assault-american-democracy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">no one is above the law<\/a>, right?<\/p>\n<p>I&rsquo;ve heard plenty of bad takes on why the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/20-percent-mkultra-files-survived-ex-cia-officer-predicts-thing-happened-epstein-list-live-fox\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Epstein files appear to be gonzo<\/a>, but none are this bad &mdash; or legally actionable.<\/p>\n<p>And even George Stephanopoulos wouldn&rsquo;t touch this. You&rsquo;ve got to hand it to him, however barely.
