\t\t\t\t}); \t\t\t} \t\t<\/script> <\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/news\/ysaora-thibus-france-olympic-fencer-cleared-doping-contaminated-by-kiss\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CBS News<\/a>, French fencer Ysaora Thibus fended off an effort by the World Anti-Doping Agency to have her banned from the sport for four years.<\/p>\n<p>In a decision announced July 7, the Court of Arbitration for Sport, based in Lausanne, Switzerland, upheld a decision by the International Fencing Federation that found that Thibus was not to blame for the presence, in her saliva, of ostarine, a substance used by some athletes to <a href=\"https:\/\/pmc.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov\/articles\/PMC11277069\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">promote muscle growth<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Thibus argued that the positive tests, which came back in January 2024, were caused by her kissing then-beau Race Imboden, an American fencer and fellow Olympian.<\/p>\n<p>Competing in the women&rsquo;s team foil, Thibus <a href=\"https:\/\/www.olympedia.org\/athletes\/122239\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">won the silver medal<\/a> for France in the 2021 Olympics (the COVID-delayed 2020 Games.). The DDT decision is upheld and the appeal is dismissed.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Doping is serious business in the world of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/no-mercy-doping-bombshell-trump-savages-junky-kentucky-derby-winner-raises-important-point-nobody-wants-address\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">sports competition<\/a>, of course.
