the group said in a statement. &ldquo;This instance of 193 missing ballots, while a stain on the Madison City Clerk&rsquo;s office, is an example of the vetting procedures in place working to verify every single vote cast in our elections.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.thecentersquare.com\/wisconsin\/article_e87e4113-04a6-4ec0-a428-cfd197108c53.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">WEC report<\/a>&nbsp;called Witzel-Behl&rsquo;s actions a &ldquo;profound failure&rdquo; that undermines public confidence in elections.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/supreme-court\/3468137\/election-security-groups-supreme-court-late-ballots\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">ELECTION SECURITY GROUPS URGE SUPREME COURT TO BLOCK LATE-ARRIVING BALLOTS<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Madison Mayor Satya Rhodes-Conway suspended Witzel-Behl from her role as clerk after the election, and she then resigned in April.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Municipal and county clerks across the state will benefit from the findings of this report, ensuring that no further ballots can fall through the cracks,&rdquo;
