Since joining the court, Jackson is described as openly promoting a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/citizens-object-to-2020-election\/\" title=\"Citizens Object To 2020 Election\">left-wing agenda<\/a>, often showing little interest in judicial impartiality. The piece highlights her recent remarks expressing concern about the &#8220;state of our democracy,&#8221; interpreted as a veiled criticism of former President donald Trump. It also points to her public comments attacking her colleagues&#8217; decisions and notes that even liberal justices like Sonia sotomayor have shown frustration with Jackson&#8217;s approach.Despite media portrayals of jackson as a bold and self-reliant justice, the article argues that her actions reveal she was appointed primarily to advance leftist causes, raising doubts about her suitability for the Supreme Court.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>When the time came to pick a replacement for retiring Supreme Court Justice Stephen Breyer, then-President Joe Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/06\/29\/of-course-ketanji-brown-jackson-supports-affirmative-action-its-the-only-reason-shes-a-supreme-court-justice\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">made it very clear<\/a> that his selection would not be based on merit, but identity politics. And since stepping into the role, Associate Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson has done her best to drive that point home. <\/p>\n<p>On Thursday, the junior justice participated in a sit-down interview at an event hosted by the Indianapolis Bar Association. While a significant portion of the discussion <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.md\/iz5kv#selection-435.63-435.97\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reportedly<\/a> focused on her life story, the most compelling part of the back-and-forth came when Jackson was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=_3gBceXFhV8\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">asked<\/a> by Obama-appointed District Judge Jane Magnus-Stinson about &ldquo;what keeps [her] up at night.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Pausing momentarily, the justice proceeded to give the answer of a stereotypical left-wing activist.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I would say the state of our democracy,&rdquo; Jackson said, eliciting applause from Magnus-Stinson and the audience. <\/p>\n<p>Of course, the Biden appointee didn&rsquo;t offer specifics, only <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.md\/eKMhZ#selection-4491.5-4491.147\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">adding<\/a> that she is &ldquo;really very interested in getting people to focus and to invest and to pay attention to what is happening in our country and in our government.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>It doesn&rsquo;t take a law degree to decipher that Jackson&rsquo;s &ldquo;democracy&rdquo; remark was in all likelihood a dig at sitting President Donald Trump. The junior justice took an indirect <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/05\/02\/after-years-of-leftist-threats-against-justices-kbj-decides-trump-is-the-real-threat-to-democracy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">jab<\/a> at the Republican president for his criticisms of leftists&rsquo; judicial coup at a separate event earlier this year.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The threats and harassment are attacks on our democracy, on our system of government. And they ultimately risk undermining our Constitution and the rule of law,&rdquo; Jackson said at the time. <\/p>\n<p>What&rsquo;s become fairly evident during her short time on the high court is that Jackson has little interest in even trying to feign the appearance of impartiality that&rsquo;s required of judges. At nearly every turn, she&rsquo;s allowed her personal &ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/07\/09\/dei-hire-ketanji-brown-jackson-i-write-supreme-court-opinions-to-tell-people-how-i-feel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">feelings<\/a>&rdquo; to dictate her public conduct and jurisprudence. <\/p>\n<p>Consider her Saturday remarks at the Global Black Economic Forum, in which she openly <a href=\"https:\/\/archive.md\/D4g7V\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">attacked<\/a> her colleagues&rsquo; recent decisions as an &ldquo;existential threat to the rule of law.&rdquo; That&rsquo;s not the language of a serious justice, but a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/kamala-harris-condemns-d-c-demonstrators-despite-past-encouragement-of-violent-blm-mobs\/\" title=\"Kamala Harris condemns D.C. demonstrators despite past encouragement of violent BLM mobs\">radical left-wing activist<\/a> who views it as her job to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/kbj-i-write-supreme-court-opinions-to-tell-people-how-i-feel\/\" title=\"KBJ: I Write ... Opinions To &#039;Tell People How I Feel&#039;\">advance leftist orthodoxy<\/a> from the bench. <\/p>\n<p>It&rsquo;s not uncommon for SCOTUS&rsquo;s most junior justices to display some semblance of deference to the body&rsquo;s senior members early in their careers. As even Jackson <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=UnwsC6-wHF4\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">acknowledged<\/a> during Thursday&rsquo;s interview, the high court boasts a long-standing tradition of respect and collegiality spanning decades. <\/p>\n<p>But none of that seems to matter to the Biden appointee, who has gone out of her way to annoy her fellow justices with her unprofessional conduct and <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/07\/02\/ketanji-brown-jackson-was-appointed-to-be-a-political-activist-not-a-judge\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">court writings<\/a>. So much so that the court&rsquo;s majority in <em><a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/06\/27\/supreme-court-nukes-nationwide-injunctions-against-trumps-birthright-citizenship-order\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Trump v. CASA<\/a><\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/06\/27\/justice-barrett-takes-a-flamethrower-to-kbjs-reality-challenged-dissent-in-birthright-citizenship-case\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">dismissed<\/a> her unhinged dissent as being &ldquo;at odds with more than two centuries&rsquo; worth of precedent, not to mention the Constitution itself.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Even Associate Justice Sonia Sotomayor &mdash; a radical leftist &mdash; has expressed her frustrations with Jackson clearly being out of her depth on the high court. In a &ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=q4xLpzSRNOc\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Dude, this is a Wendy&rsquo;s restaurant<\/a>&rdquo; moment, the Obama appointee <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2025\/07\/08\/scotus-blocks-lower-court-injunction-on-trumps-effort-to-resize-the-federal-bureaucracy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">reminded<\/a> her fellow leftist in an order issued earlier this week that the issues she described in her dissenting opinion were not what the justices were ruling on.<\/p>\n<p>While Jackson&rsquo;s antics are certainly unbecoming of a justice, they should actually be viewed as a positive development. For all the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2025\/07\/05\/us\/supreme-court-ketanji-brown-jackson.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">glowing<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/news\/politics\/2025\/07\/05\/supreme-court-justice-ketanji-brown-jackson-dissent-liberal\/84461418007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">media<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/thehill.com\/regulation\/court-battles\/5384615-ketanji-brown-jackson-supreme-court-term\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">coverage<\/a> trying to portray her as a bold, independent justice, the Biden appointee&rsquo;s behavior makes it obvious that the only reason she&rsquo;s on the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/trump-pushes-cases-to-supreme-court-amid-legal-battles\/\" title=\"... pushes cases to ... amid legal battles\">high court &#038;mdash<\/a>; aside from her race and sex &mdash; is to push a left-wing agenda.<\/p>\n<p>The more she opens her mouth and <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\" >pens social justice warrior-style opinions<\/a>, the more clear it becomes that she has no business being on the Supreme Court.<\/p>\n<hr>\n<p>      Shawn Fleetwood is a staff writer for The Federalist and a graduate of the University of Mary Washington.
