Trump, even the court&rsquo;s left flank has begun criticizing her &mdash; with Justice Sonia Sotomayor going as far as to subtly admonish her in the AFGE case by noting that her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/first-it-was-barrett-now-even-sotomayor-embarrasses-ketanji-brown-jackson-with-her-opinion-in-scotus-ruling\/\" title=\"First It Was Barrett - Now Even Sotomayor Embarrasses ... with Her Opinion in SCOTUS Ruling\">opinion didn&#038;rsquo<\/a>;t confine itself to, and in fact had little to with, the legal matter being decided.<\/p>\n<p>In other words, it&rsquo;s hard to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/amy-coney-barrett-crushes-ketanji-brown-jackson-devastating-line-universal-injunction-opinion\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">find defenders for Jackson<\/a> these days. Thankfully, there&rsquo;s always Rhode Island Democrat Sen. There are a bunch of &ldquo;what if&rdquo; questions that are disappointingly stupid and far-fetched, especially coming from a longstanding member of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/senate-judiciary-committee-deadlocks-scotus-nominee-jackson-wont-get-favorable-recommendation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Senate Judiciary Committee<\/a>; I&rsquo;m halfway surprised that that Whitehouse didn&rsquo;t rhetorically ask, &ldquo;What if you need to widdle and can&rsquo;t find a bathroom because Republicans outlawed them, since they hate transgender people? What if Elon Musk forces you to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/elon-musk-admits-taking-ketamine-says-using-substance-good-investors\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">ingest ketamine<\/a> and then shoots you into space, and he&rsquo;s legally allowed to do it because the Trump administration replaced the Bill of Rights with a &lsquo;Funky Winkerbean&rsquo; comic strip?&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>I mean, if you&rsquo;re making serially ridiculous points, at least entertain me.<\/p>\n<p>Anyhow, this finally gets to a point, which is that Jackson is jettisoning &ldquo;collegiality&rdquo; because there&rsquo;s too much &ldquo;mischief happening in plain view in the courthouse.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Justice Jackson has begun looking at patterns, and noticing what types of parties tend to win, and which tend to lose. For the left, the federal judiciary &mdash; especially the Supreme Court &mdash; functioned as another organ of the legislative branch for far too long. Americans got sick of it and elected presidents who nominated judges who interpret the Constitution as it was written and politicians who would confirm them. Suddenly, the independence of the judiciary is being questioned by Whitehouse and his ilk, precisely because it&rsquo;s actually independent of the Democratic Party now.<\/p>\n<p>Justice Jackson embodies the current Democratic ideal, especially as the party has drifted so far left &mdash; in fact, so much so that Justices Sotomayor and Elena Kagan, otherwise reliably liberal, are pushing back on her lack of restraint.<\/p>\n<p>As for her opinions, they&rsquo;ve gotten to the point where they&rsquo;re hysterical: In between sounding like a snarky teen and appealing to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/first-barrett-now-even-sotomayor-embarrasses-ketanji-brown-jackson-opinion-scotus-ruling\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">authority of an imaginary E.T.<\/a>, she&rsquo;s ignored the law so completely that even Sonia Sotomayor has to check her.<\/p>\n<p>But to Whitehouse, this all sounds like his beau ideal of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/supreme-court-justice-ketanji-brown-jackson-appear-feminist-broadway-show\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a Supreme Court justice<\/a>.
