Last Friday, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/trump-reverses-course-ukraine-amid-new-russian-attacks\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Russia<\/a> had set a record that only lasted a few days by sending 539 drones at Ukraine, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2025\/07\/09\/world\/europe\/russia-ukraine-attack-weapons-trump-putin.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The New York Times<\/a>. Officials said Lutsk, near the border with both Poland and Belarus, was a prime target, as was the western city of Khmelnytskyi.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This is a telling attack &mdash; and it comes precisely at a time when so many efforts have been made to achieve peace, to establish a ceasefire, and yet only Russia continues to rebuff them all,&rdquo; Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.<\/p>\n<p>The attack comes as President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-top-trump-official-leads-entire-cabinet-powerful-prayer-texas-reporters-arrived\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Donald Trump<\/a>&nbsp;has vented his frustration that Russia seems immune to his efforts to end the war.<\/p>\n<p>On Tuesday, Trump said his administration had &ldquo;a lot of bulls*** thrown at us by Putin,&rdquo; adding, &ldquo;He&rsquo;s very nice all the time, but it turns out to be meaningless.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Trump may send an additional Patriot missile air-defense system to Ukraine, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.wsj.com\/world\/russia\/trump-says-putins-assurances-on-ukraine-meaningless-af8fc373?gaa_at=eafs&amp;gaa_n=ASWzDAgsM07uHvtYr63eMQ2ZHod3WAHCEJ-2wMikHvRNiQnT2xBwv2W44CID&amp;gaa_ts=686eaf65&amp;gaa_sig=tvV-RHwyys3vkC18VWdPKGRmu5fWl8To8-PmQlra1jZNWlu9otBisfdK1RfTGmTz9Qajm5ELe71jXaz1SwsRCA%3D%3D\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wall Street Journal<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Journal said that if that happens, it would mark &ldquo;the first time Trump has approved providing a major weapons system to Kyiv beyond the number authorized by the Biden White House.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The Journal noted that the Pentagon is supplying Trump with a list of options to defend Ukraine against Russian missiles.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, a report in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2025\/07\/09\/world\/europe\/russia-ukraine-putin-trump.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The New York Times<\/a> said Russian leader <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/trump-sends-furious-response-putin-allys-nuclear-threat-really-say\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Vladimir Putin<\/a> is going to step up military pressure on Ukraine, regardless of whatever Trump has to say.
